BAM! Passed ROFR in 10 days

For those of you keeping score at home, we are going into our 4th week waiting on Estoppel.
We did get a note from the title company saying that everything appears to be in order and we are just waiting on Disney.
It was nice to hear from them, so at least we know our folder didn't fall in a hole somewhere. The wait continues... stay tuned

Is it possible there is a discrepancy regarding the number of points agreed upon in the sale and what is actually available? Hope you hear back soon.

STOP THE PRESSES!!!

Closing docs arrived today. As soon as they receive signed copies from us and the seller, along with our certified funds they will send everything to be recorded with the County Clerk's office.
According to the nice lady at the closing attorney's office it usually takes the Clerk 1-2 weeks to record the deed and send it back. THENNNNN the closing attorney will send the title to Disney and they will officially slide the glass slipper onto our feet and we will be official DVC owners.

Turned out to be a little over 3 weeks for the Estoppel process, and now it's been a little over a month since our offer was accepted. Assuming all goes well with the county clerk, I'm guessing we were going to be about 7 weeks from start to finish for the whole process. Now we just have to decide how we are going to spend our points:scratchin

CONGRATULATIONS!! I think we heard we passed ROFR 3 days after you did, so I'm hoping that this bodes well for us, too. And you haven't decided how you're spending your points?? You mean the details, right? I have been playing with the points to try to maximize their use for 2 trips in 2018. We are already into the 7-11 month window for the first trip, so lots of spreadsheets and alternate scenarios/dates going on to pass the time...

Lol, trust me, they are already gone. We are contemplating a Christmas trip, and we have a trip planned to Disney Land next spring, and maybe a Halloween Party trip next fall....

Ours was sent to Disney March 16, still no word. When was yours sent?

I am... slowly... catching... up... to... you... We got closing docs today, 30 days from when our offer was accepted, and 20 days after passing ROFR. Despite my haunting these boards endlessly, I am quite pleased with how smoothly (and quickly) things have gone. I think we also got lucky with a motivated and responsive seller.
