Baltimore BOT-Fest

Jodi - Don't worry. No one would ever dream of enjoying themselves without you. Sure, we may put up a good show and look like we're having fun but it's really all an act.

Has Bruce been training a bunch? He's still MCMing, right?

Just wanted to pop in and say hi.

I am SOOO jealous of everyone on facebook going to wine and dine. Steve and Krista are already there.

Soon everyone will be jealous that we're in DC ;)

Good morning Bots,

Who is racing today? Jodi, do you have your fingers strapped on for 13.1?

HOpe everyone is well.

:rotfl: Yes, Collen, I strapped my fingers on. Bruce kept me up @ intervals from midnight on coughing & snoring. He's been real sick since Thurs. Caught a wicked upper respiratory infection...coupled with the asthma =. He was in the ER Friday for a nebulizer treatment 'cause he was just working to hard to get the air out. While there they did a 12 lead, told them that they saw something abnormal (cause they didn't have a baseline) & now he has scheduled a stress-test, per the ER doc. :sad2: He's feeling a bit better today, but now back to me! ;)

So he kepted me up, then I woke up with congestion....:headache: But went to the 1/2 & ran my fastest time yet! :confused3 1:54:33. Not sure why this happened, except for the course was SUPER FLAT!!

Now I'm celebrating with a pumpkin ale from Dogfish Head. Real good! :yay:

Awesome Jodi, you have to do MCM now! What's another 13 odd miles??:confused3

Hey Jodi - Way to go you speed demon! Are you wearing your frog shoes for MCM?

I hope Bruce feels better soon.

Something tells me living with you would result in something "abnormal" in anyone's EKG.

I hope that everyone enjoys their time at Wine & Dine. I am joining the crowd not going. I am so busy, I won't miss it (or at least I hope I don't).

Jodi~ Great results on your 5 finger/toe and two foot(s) run! Maybe Bruce should keep you up more often. I hope he is feeling better soon and that his stress test works out just fine.

I got out for a run last night in the drizzle, humidity and darkness:

Miles: 8.0
Time: 1:14:19
Pace: 9:17
Splits: 9:42, 9:38, 9:14, 8:46, 10:00, 9:04, 8:55, and 8:59.

Two weekends ago I ran the Philadelphia RocknRoll Half Marathon. My Garmin time was 1:57 ish however my clock time was 2:08 ish. There was definitely some issue with the distance and/or the Garmin signal in town. I am not worried about the timing problem. When my Garmin reached 13.1 I turned it off and took it easy the rest of the way in. That equated to about 3/4 miles I am guessing. That's the difference in my time. I figured that I signed up for 13.1 and that's what I was measuring myself on. No biggy...it was a training run for MCM anyway. At least that's what I keep telling myself. :rolleyes1

This weekend I am on the road again... up to South Salem, NY to visit/crash Judy & Charlie's home for the Ridgefield Half Marathon. A couple of special BOTS are planning to run: Jodi, CindyLouBQ and Judy's DH Charlie.

I am sure a good time will be had by all. I ran this race last year. Nice undulating course with 2 loops amongst tree lined streets and beautiful homes.

I am psyched for MCM but no where near ready... physically or mentally. :rolleyes1

Have a great day!!!

:grouphug:

Jodi - Congrats again on your half PR - I'm so impressed! I hope that everything is ok with Bruce.

Wine and Dine Bots - I'm up for a mini-bot meet if we can swing it. Matt and I are traveling with a total of 12 (yes 12) people and have a bunch of things planned already, but have some flexibility on Saturday (late afternoon) and Sunday (during the day). Is anyone going into the parks? Matt and I are planning on spending time during the day on Sunday at food and wine before heading to MNSSHP. If nothing else, we should at least meet up before the race and at the after party (if I can stay awake long enough)

Hidey Ho everyone, I'm heading down on Friday for a Daddy/Daughter weekend. Evie (DD9 pooh: ) and I are running the 5k together, and then I'm running the half at night while Maggie (DD12 princess: ) babysits.

I'd be up for a meet up too if I can swing it with the kids.

12 people?!? Wow! I hope they are all as much fun as we are. Are they all running?

What corral are you and Matt in?

Kathy will be runner #1 and I'm #2. We are in the first corral from what we can tell.

It would be nice if a bunch of us could meet up before/after.

Howard - What, were you drunk or running with your eyes closed? I know it's always farther than the actual race distance but 3/4 mile for a half? You need to quit swerving around so much.

Dave - Have fun this weekend. I hope to see you.

All you Ridgefield halfers - Have a great race!

There's just no pleasing you is there Jodi???

Hi Mike, I'll be solo for the party, and it would be great to see the Bots.

Oooh, I'm excited. I just found out I got an interview with Jeff Galloway during the Expo. I can't wait to meet him and talk with him.

Mike~ I did my best to keep the turns tight but I did, in fact, do a lot of weaving through the crowd in Philly. I passed a lot of folks and although I started in Corral 11, I finished with some folks from 9 and 10. How that works out to such a difference in distance, I'm not sure. I am quite sure that no alcoholic beverages were consumed prior to or during the race by me. I think the Garmin bugged out in town between all the tall buildings.

To everyone going to W&D.... have a blast! I hope they will be serving coffee and Jolt at the beginning of the race to keep you all wide awake during the run. I know that's past Jodi's bedtime, that's why she is running Ridgefield. :rolleyes1

Have a great day everyone!
