Baklava at Morocco question

I noticed that they offer Baklava as a dessert on their regular menu. Does anyone know if it is regular Baklava, or the Pistachio Baklava offered at the F&W festival? We had this last year at the fest, and it was awesome. I have tried to get it elsewhere, and it's just not the same. Also wondering if they sell F&W Festival featured samplings to take home besides just be offered as samplings at the fest.

Thanks in advance for replies.

In the rear of the Tangierine Cafe is a pastry case. They have several types of baklava. We have tried the walnut and pistachio baklavas. Both were very good.

We all had the baklava at Tangerine Cafe and we found it really nasty. It tastes as if it is made of fairly cheap ingredients and is nothing like the authentic baklava I am used to. It is the one lasting bad memory of an otherwise great WDW holiday.

If on the DDP you can only get the regular baklava as your dessert, but if you are paying cash they do have it in the case.

You can also buy the recipie book for the F&WF to get the recipe for it (and everything else there)

I'm with Maggs. We get great baklava in our neighborhood and the stuff we got as part of our lunch at Tangierine was just awful. The food however was quite good (well, not including the french fries my DS had that had an entire salt-shaker of salt on them).

I am a baklavah snob. I make it myself and the bad thign is since I started making it home made I will only eat my own. I make it with walnuts and blanched almonds.

Thanks. I'll def. have to check out the back case and see what they have to offer. We are going for the F&W fest, so I can get it there but also wanted to know if they have it in a bigger portion than the sampling. I'll also have to look for the festival recipe book to try and make it myself.

Dang it! Another souvineer I'll just have to get. We'll be there Sept 22nd-30th, but won't be going to Epcot on the 30th, which is when I believe the F&W Festival starts, doesn't it? I wonder if they'll have the cookbooks on sale a few days before the Festival starts?

I make it at home too, but the baklava served inside Marrakesh last time I had it (which was several years ago) was quite good and came in varieties that I wouldn't bother with at home. Or wouldn't bother having around at the same time.

Have never tried the stuff out at Tangerine so don't know if its the same.
