OH wait that is a whole other thread:eek:

I bake it for BLTs on a rack inside a cookie sheet....

Roll it in brown sugar 1st! Outta sight!!

Makes the best BLT you will ever eat!

heidi

Addendum 350 degrees for about 15 mins or until crispy (my oven cooks things like a nuclear war so it may be a bit longer for your oven)

MB - you know they have those microwave bacon holders out now. I am sure they are not expensive and Bed Bath and Beyond or a kitchen store sell them.

That might make your life easier...

All these questions are making me wonder about you. Are you a yankee spy? We don't like that kind 'round here.
Hang on a sec, I need another beer outta the fridge on the front porch.

Ever bake bacon in the oven?

I always do it this way. No mess! I also prebake my home made meatballs before putting them in my tomato sauce. That saves me a lot of time browning them individually in the pot.

I hate those things. It makes your microwave a big grteasy mess and the bacon is not cooked evenly. You also cannot cook a lot at once. Baking it in a large baking lets me do the whole pound or more at once.

You make that sound like it is uncommon.

All the restuarants that I worked at didn't open until 11am! But on Sunday Mornings, if a football game was starting early, I would go in and watch before I started my shifts. But, I was working.

So, I guess I have only seen it after 11!;)

But I have never been to Alabama..so maybe they open early!:p
