Bakery Name Ideas

If a home bakery and not a storefront I am not clear on how you plan to distribute your products. Something like cheesecake that is a baked custard will need to be refrigerated/frozen if you plan to ship. That type of packaging & shipping could cost as much or more then the actual product. As someone else also mentioned, you also need to check local laws relating to making/selling food products from home.
Thank you. Yes I will be having an inspection done and applying for a bakery license in my state. Home bakeries are not allowed to sell online or ship products. I would have to either deliver or have pickup options. I'm looking to expand into a store front possibly in the future if the business does well. For now, it's because a lot of family and friends have begged to buy cheesecake from me and legally I can't do that in my state. This will only be a side business at the moment. You need a license for cheesecake because it is a refrigerated product in my state. I'm still in the planning and ideas faze. I have at least 4-6 months before anything can happen. I've also contacted Disney copyright laws to see how to obtain copyright permission "if" the name or likeness of my bakery hints to Disney. Thanks for the concern! I'm a planner so I won't be taking this lightly.

As a former marketing person, my advice would be to avoid a name that might limit future expansion. If you someday decide to add items other than cheesecake, you'll want a name that still fits. If I'm looking for a pie, for example, I might scroll right past a bakery that has "cheesecake" in the name. Just my 2 cents!
Thank you! I was thinking of trying to keep it more towards "cake, pastries, or sweets" if that's in the name, not limiting towards cheesecake. This is only a side business because people have been begging me to sell my cheesecakes to them but I can't legally do that in my state without obtaining a license and inspection.

Somewhere I read that the most successful branding is usually just the person's name. If you don't like your own name, maybe use somebody else's. Apparently people like the personal attachment. I can definitely see this with a bakery or tea room or other comfort place.

Thank you for the suggestion! My name has already been used with another bakery in my area. Because I don't live too far from Disney, I thought a Disney-like name would be fitting.
