Thank you. Yes I will be having an inspection done and applying for a bakery license in my state. Home bakeries are not allowed to sell online or ship products. I would have to either deliver or have pickup options. I'm looking to expand into a store front possibly in the future if the business does well. For now, it's because a lot of family and friends have begged to buy cheesecake from me and legally I can't do that in my state. This will only be a side business at the moment. You need a license for cheesecake because it is a refrigerated product in my state. I'm still in the planning and ideas faze. I have at least 4-6 months before anything can happen. I've also contacted Disney copyright laws to see how to obtain copyright permission "if" the name or likeness of my bakery hints to Disney. Thanks for the concern! I'm a planner so I won't be taking this lightly. If a home bakery and not a storefront I am not clear on how you plan to distribute your products. Something like cheesecake that is a baked custard will need to be refrigerated/frozen if you plan to ship. That type of packaging & shipping could cost as much or more then the actual product. As someone else also mentioned, you also need to check local laws relating to making/selling food products from home.
