Ok, so I bought the fried apples and apple crisp mix from the Cracker Barrel. My aunt said "use the recipe on the card attached to the fried apples". It lists the ingredients, but the entire recipe is not there.

Here's what I have
Scrumptious Apple Muffins
2 cups flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 beaten eggs
1 1/3 packed brown sugar
1/2 jar of fried apples (bought from CB)
1/2 bag of streusel crumbs (bought from CB)

Lightly grease 24 muffin cups or line with paper cups. In large bowl combine flour, whole wheat flour, baking power, cinnamon, baking soda,

So what do I do??? I have all the ingredients on hand. And the internet seems to be proving worthless at the moment.

Well, the standard is mix wet first, then mix with the dry.
OK so here we go

mix in bowl:
2 cups flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

and put aside

eggs and brown sugar blend together and add to dry mix above

then fold in apples

dont over blend muffins after apples added it will make muffins tough

then I imagine you are to top with streusel mix and bake

Are there any Cracker Barrel restaurants still open near you that you could call?

If not, this is what I would do:

Mix the dry ingredients into 1 bowl as the first part of the recipe indicates.

Then mix the eggs & the brown sugar in a separate bowl.

Then alternately add the dry ingredients & the apple mixture into the egg mixture.

With muffins, you only want to stir the ingredients until mix. Do not overmix or beat.

Then fill the muffin tins until they are 2/3 full.

Sprinkle the streusel topping onto each muffin.

Most muffins are baked at 350F so I would use that temperature (preheat the oven first).

The baking time could be anytime between 20-40 minutes. If you want to be absolutely sure, you could just bake one muffin to start with. I would start at 20 minutes & then keep checking it at 5 minute intervals. The muffin is done when the top is lightly browned, domed & firm to the touch. Also do the toothpick check & it should come out clean.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the recipes. I'll try one of those. My aunt works for CB, and she didn't realize they didn't have the entire recipe on the one card. Maybe there's a second card that's supposed to be attached. It's part of their holiday baskets, so it's not the usual, and the recipe is tied onto the jar with string.

Sorry. . I'm confused. What are you actually trying to make? Apple crisp or apple muffins?

Thanks for the help. I mixed the dry ingredients before mixing with the wet. Then folded in the jar of fried apples. The mix seemed to be a little dry, so I used the whole jar, but only used half of the steusul mix. It actually turned out pretty good, and very sweet.
