Bailee's Wish Trip

Loving the TR so far!! I can't wait to read and see more!! I knew y'all would have an awesome time!!
I love how big your kids smiles are in EVERY picture!!

We decided to check out Downtown Disney. We stopped at an outlet mall on the way and checked out their Character Outlet. The kids picked out their first souvenir. The girls picked out a small doll and Landon wanted a small stuffed Goofy!
We had no idea where to park once we arrived at Downtown Disney so we choose a place that looked the least crowded. However, we quickly realized we were far away from the Market Place where we wanted to go. Surprise we found a free ferry that would take us across. We thought this looked like fun.

It was very crowded since it was Saturday night. I was sure I was going to misplace one of the kids. I made the girls hold my hand. We looked around a little bit.

All of a sudden the sky began to darken. We went back to the ferry dock in hopes of riding it back before the weather worsened. However, we were too late. The attendent told us we could walk to our car if we walked ALL THE WAY BACK AROUND. It was a really long walk since everyone had been up for hours. We got wet on the way to the car. I had not brought the ponchos along. What's a little water? We still had fun!
Our drive back to GKTW was a slow one. It was raining so hard Stephen could hardly see to drive. The girls were upset because we were going to miss Mayor Clayton's Birthday Party. I was also scheduled for orientation at 7:45 p.m. I knew we would never make it. Luckily, there was another one scheduled for 9:00 p.m. GKTW welcomed 43 families that day. We finally got back to the villa and the girls were asking for dinner. I ordered pizza and headed over to the meeting. I got back to the villa about 10:45 p.m. and all of the kids were still awake. We all got to bed by 11:00 p.m. in hopes for a very exciting day.

Stay tuned for day 2......ANIMAL KINGDOM!

Thanks. Landon learned to smile for pictures a few days before the trip!
The girls are so used to smiling for the camera. I take pictures all of the time. I only took 520 pictures on the trip. Then I just orderd the Disney Photo Pass CD with over 300 pictures on it.

Glad to see you started a TR! That was one LONG first day! I love downtown disney! It is so fun to just walk around. Sorry about the rain though.

I love seeing pictures of the villa. They all look so nice.

Love your TR. I love taking pictures!!! My family gets very tired of them:sad2:. I showed my husband your TR and said YEA!!!! Lots of photo ops!!!:cheer2:Can't wait to read more and see more pictures!!!

Great start!!! :)

Bailee cracks me up... She was tired of that flying after 5 minutes! :rotfl:

That is awesome that you guys got so much done on Day 1! :)

Was the Boston Market food good? I have never had any from there?

Great first day! Can't wait for more! :thumbsup2

Bailee can be very entertaining! I am attempting to get everyone to unpack, but they are still tired and cranky.

We love Boston Market. We had one right by our house before we moved to our house now. I am working on more of my TR.

Day two everyone was up early. The girls and I got showered and ready by 8:00 a.m. Daddy and Landon slept in a little. The girls and I headed off to find some breakfast at the Gingerbread House. We stopped on the way to see some of the village. The girls liked the upside down ice cream cone.

IMG_2001-1.jpg

Breakfast was good. The volunteers were amazed at how well my kids ate fruit. They couldn't have any of the donuts, pastries, waffles, or pancakes because of their allergy to sugar. We took a carry out order for Dad to eat while we got ready for our first day of parks.

We headed to Animal Kingdom. The excitement was growing by the second!
We showed our button to the parking attendant and got right up close in the parking lot. :woohoo:
We then first got our double stroller. This would allow all children to ride if they wanted to. It was easy once we showed our button! We felt sort of lost since this was our first park. We had a map, but it did not seem to really help us. Therefore, we decided to just start walking. We came upon our first character.....Lilo and Stitch. We found out quickly that it was not her button, but the GAC card that got us to the front of the line. Bailee and Landon enjoyed Lilo and Stitch, but Caroline decided to stay in the stroller.

IMG_2002.jpg

We headed to Camp Minnie and Mickey. We saw tons of people waiting in line for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. We approached a CM. He eagerly took us to see Chip and Dale. He also said he would escort us to see all of the characters in that area! :yay: We felt very important. At this point all three kids LOVED seeing the characters. It was going to be a very big part of our week. Here are a few pictures of us with the characters.

All of the character meeting made the boys tired. They sat down to rest a little. I think this is an adorable picture of my boys.

IMG_2025.jpg

Landon decided he wanted his 2 dankies and his taci (blankets and pacifier). Then he looked at me and said "I yay down". He fell fast asleep in the stroller. Everyone was hungry and we knew we better eat lunch since he was asleep. We opted for a healthy lunch of salad, sandwiches, and fresh fruit! Everyone looked at us a little funny because we were eating healthy in an amusement park. :) The lunch refreshed us and off we went to find more fun. The girls had heard Pluto was in Dinoland so off we went to find him. We probably walked around for 30 minutes looking for him. They did not want to ride any of the rides.....THEY WANTED TO FIND PLUTO!

IMG_2056.jpg

Landon decided to wake up after about an hour. We decided it was time to ride our first ride.....the Safari. Everyone enjoyed it.

We had seen enough of Animal Kingdom. What will we do next....go back to the Village or to another park. Stephen and I debated this issue all the way to the parking lot.
What will we do??????? Stayed tuned for the second part of day 2!

You took some amazing photos of your family with the characters. I am so happy the cast members at Animal Kingdom treated you so well! :wizard:

I am just loving your TR! And that picture of the boys is adorable!! Definitely a framer!!
So glad your day at AK was fun for all!! And that everyone loved the characters!

I love kids that love characters! I also love a sandwich for lunch. I wish there more places that sold yummy ones!

We were really hot and tired when we got to the van. However, we decided to go to Hollywood Studios. A few minutes in the air conditioned van made everyone ready for a second round.
We knew there were a few shows we wanted to see. We checked the schedule and realized we could not see all of them. It was 3:00 p.m. at this time. We decided to skip Playhouse Disney because Landon would not know the difference. We walked around and saw a few more characters.

IMG_2100.jpg

We got some dirty looks and comments about using our GAC to go to the front of the line. I just kept thinking they had no idea and to just ignore them.
IMG_2105.jpg

It was then time to go see the HSM3 show which was done outside in front of the big hat. It was still 15 minutes away and everyone was beginning to get cranky. Landon was opening his feeding tube trying to drink it....Caroline kept falling and making her knees bleed....Bailee was wanting to go do something else. We decided to leave and here comes the show. Suddenly everyone was happy and they all three loved the show. I have to admit I like the whole High School Muscial thing. I snapped a few pictures while we waited for the show.

IMG_2083.jpg

Do you see how red everyone's face is in the picture? It was really hot!

IMG_2082.jpg

Then it was off to find Toy Story Mania. I did not take any pictures of this ride. This was Bailee's absolute FAVORITE! Landon rode while sitting in my lap. He screamed in delight during the whole ride. We came out of the ride just in time to see it begin to rain a little. We thought we would just ride it again since it was raining. When we came out it was really raining.....and lightening. We had ponchos, but they were not doing the job. That was the exact moment I realized we needed better ponchos. We were soaked. My goal was to keep Landon's feeding pump from getting wet. I also was worried about Landon trying to drink the rain. He has such a strong desire to eat and drink. We stayed around for a while until we realized it was not going to get any better. I was not worried about he rain. However, the lightening was another story.

I forgot to tell you we did not do as well parking here as we had at AK. We had quite a stroll to the van. We changed all of the kids into dry clothes once in the van. We just had to ride to the Village wet. We still had a blast even though it was raining.
We got back to GKTW and I ran in and picked up our dinners to go. It is just easier that way since Landon can't eat. There was a group of fraternity guys that were volunteering at the Gingerbread House. They were singing and entertaining everyone. One of them even followed me around with my food and then walked it to the van and got wet. These guys are riding their bikes over 800 miles this summer. They are stopping along the way to volunteer at different places.
After dinner the rain had stopped and Caroline wanted ice cream. We walked to get some. Bailee was too tired. Dad wanted us to bring him some back. We got there to find out they were out of sugar free ice cream. :sad1:
Caroline was very sad. We opted for diet coke and fruit from Katie's Kitchen.
So there is the end of day 2. It was a wonderful day.

Coming soon.....DAY 3!

We decided to stay at GKTW on day 3. It was Memorial Day and we knew the parks would be packed.

First up was finding the Disney characters. I know you are surprised to hear my kids wanted to do that....:) First up was Mickey and Minnie in the theater. You get a 8x10 of your whole family with Mickey and Minnie. The picture that was taken with my camera is blurry so I am not posting it. I had some camera issues off and on with blurry pictures. Then we saw Goofy, Pluto, and Mary Poppins.

IMG_2124.jpg

Landon decided "Goopy" was his favorite. He is still talking about Goopy. :yay:

IMG_2142-1.jpg

IMG_2137.jpg

On the way to breakfast we stopped to have some chocolate covered strawberry.

IMG_2152.jpg

Caroline and Daddy headed to eat some breakfast while the rest of us looked around.
Bailee played some basketball....one of her favorite things to do.

IMG_2165.jpg

We checked out the Castle of Miracles. Landon and Bailee loved the slide in the dark corner. They had tons to do in the Castle. It was a nice cool place to play. I also made appointments for the girls at the La Ti Da Spa.

Bailee and I headed to the Gingerbread House for breakfast once the others finished.

Then it was time to try out the carousal. They all loved it and rode it over and over again.

IMG_2153.jpg

IMG_2156.jpg

IMG_2154.jpg

Time for the spa. Bailee could not decide what she wanted to have done. She settled on 2 face paintings, 2 face painting bracelets on her wrists, and a tattoo. Caroline got her nails painted, make-up, and a tattoo. Daddy spent time in the lobby with the massage chair while he was "watching Landon" :) I tried out the massage chair and liked it also.

IMG_2175.jpg

We drove the boats in Amberville and played a few games.

IMG_2187.jpg

By this time Landon was ready for a nap. I took him back to our villa while Daddy and the girls rode the train at Amberville. Then they ran to Walmart because we were out of drinks without sugar. Daddy decided to pick up some better ponchos so we would hopefully stay dry.

Stay tuned for Day 3 part 2......

Gosh...I keep missing your updates!

They are awesome!

I hate that they ran out of Ice Cream! That is just no good...I hope they got some more!

And it is just inexcusable for people to give you guys a hard time for skipping the lines...and it makes me mad. :headache:

Your pictures are great and I am so glad you guys have gotten so much done already! Good idea to stay at GKTW for Memorial Day.

I am loving all of your pictures and your trip report as well!
Sounds like y'all had so much fun!
I can't wait to read more!!

What a bummer to be out of the ice cream! I am sure she was a trooper and took the news well but so sad.

I love the character pictures!

Such a great attitude about the rain too!

It must be so hard to not be able to eat together. The frat guys sound hilarious.

I forgot about part of our activities before nap time. I will have to back track and post more of our fun pictures. Sorry for the confusion.

It is hard not eating together. However, it has allowed me to lose 30 lbs. in the last year since he got his tube.

I was tired when I was working on the TR for day 3 yesterday and skipped a whole part of the day that happend before nap. So I will try again.

We went to the Castle so the kids could make their pillows.

IMG_2220.jpg
IMG_2224.jpg

Bailee chose the SURPRISE button for her pillow. She said she wanted blue and magically a blue one came out.:yay:

IMG_2217.jpg
IMG_2219.jpg

Caroline chose the GIRLIE button. She loved the pillow that came out.

IMG_2223.jpg
IMG_2225.jpg

Landon just liked pushing the buttons. We encouraged him to choose the BOY button. Then we handed him his pillow and he said, "I yay down." He then layed the pillow on the rug and layed down.

Then Bailee wanted to do her star. Here she is writing her name on the star.
IMG_2226.jpg

Look what we found???? Yes, it was sugar free ice cream!!!

IMG_2228.jpg

IMG_2229.jpg
IMG_2230.jpg

It was hot and the ice cream was melting fast.

We took some pictures along the way back to our villa.

IMG_2211.jpg

Then we really did take Landon back to the villa for a nap. After Daddy and the girls returned from Walmart we ordered Katie's Kitchen again. It was yummy once again. Everyone relaxed for a little while.

Then the girls begged to go swimming. A dip in the cool water sounded fun so I offered to take them. The water was cold until you got used to it. The girls loved to push the button for the water to spray across the pool. Actually it was Bailee who would get out of the pull and push the button again as soon as the spraying water stopped. It made me tired just watching her do this every few minutes. Our pool time suddenly stopped when they came and said the pool was closing due to lightening. The sky was clear, but the storms were on the way. We headed back to the villa. Sure enough we had no sooner taken showers and the rain started. We stayed in and played with our new toys and watched a little tv. We ordered pizza for dinner because the rain continued.

We had signed up for a tuck in at 9:10 p.m. I would say not to miss this because the kids LOVED it. You can choose to have Mayor Clayton or Mrs. Merry. We chose Mrs. Merry. Here are a few pictures from our tuck in.

I have heard that most kids get all excited from the tuck in and won't go to sleep. However, my kids were asleep 5 minutes after she left!:woohoo::yay::dance3::banana:

So we are officially finished with Day 3.....next Day 4....EPCOT and Princess Caroline's Birthday princess:
