Bags, Busses, and Booze - A Where has all the Rum gone Girls 2013 F&W TR

I have been waiting for Ashley to do an update of her own for 9/29... I guess I will go ahead a proceed. I know things are hectic for her and she will just have to catch up when she can. :goodvibes

Without her memory though, I am not certain I will be the best story teller. Once she is able, she can correct my fuzzy memory too. ;)

Our first stop on 9/30 was Epcot. We were anxious to get to the festival. I took a picture of one of the first booths we encountered so that I could send it back to Steve.

Vegetarian Haggis?

Little did I know that there was actually an item on there that would become my FAVORITE F&W item. YUM!

We must have made our way to Mexico next. I knew I wanted a margarita. So we got our drinks.

I didn't think that Ginger got one at the ditch... I think the small pink one is a drink outside somewhere. Yes... Probably was the Aulani Sunrise from Hawaii. The drinks Ashley and I got though were very strong. VERY strong...but OH SO good!. :rotfl2:

We then split up a bit. Ashley went to get the Grilled Lamb Chop with Mint Pesto and Potato Crunchies from Austrailia while I went to get the Taco de Rib Eye with Salsa de Chipotle from Mexico. I believe Ginger went and got the Kalua Pork slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple (at the same time she got the Sunrise drink)

Both what Ashley and I got were very good, (we sampled off of eachothers..at least, I think we did. I know I tried hers...did she try mine???) but between the booze and the richness of it... she and I both were having some tummy issues.

We continued on around the world doing some shopping along the way. Did we buy fans this day in China? I think so... :rotfl: I also suspect that this was the day I did pick a pearl. Ashley took lots of pictures of me... so those will have to be in her update.

Soon enough it was time for lunch and steak sounded good. :rotfl: Why not add more rich food to our tummies.

Since we were in America... I believe we went up to the chase lounge. What a definite perk! Beautiful view and free drinks... oh and AC!!! I know you could get special bands to wear for viewing of the concerts... but we didn't have plans to do that.

At this point in our Epcot adventure for the day, I wanted to hit the festival center. I had completely missed it the year before so it was one of the few things on my "must do" list. It was funny though because we could not figure out exactly where it was. I thought it was near Ellen's Universe of Energy. We walked to a cm to ask just to make sure. She wasn't any help. I was correct though and we found it.

It was so fun to see the chocolate exhibit!

And even though we definitely had received enough chocolate from the previous night, who doesn't love more chocolate? Especially free chocolate???

Ginger was also nice enough to buy drinking chocolate for us. Just heavenly!!!

At this point it was time to head out of the park. We had a dinner ADR. As we were walking out, Ashley whispered to me that she though she recognized someone. I turned and sure enough! There was Michelle and her family! :yay:

How fun to have another unplanned dismeet. I am not sure if this was the day (I think it was) but we managed to also run into Su-Lynn (chunkymonkey)as well.

Next Up: 9/30 - Part 2

MNSSHP looks like you had fun. I like the Ariel wig on you. Which villain is Ginger's idol? We missed the character at the HM. Guess we didn't walk close enough to the HM to see her.

The food looks yummy and F&W. We only got there once to eat around the world, and we were full so only sampled a couple things. The little pink drink kind of looks like a Torontopolitan? Your ribeye taco looks great. How was eating steak with plastic utensils?

Wasn't the drink machine in the Chase Lounge the best?! I never knew there were that many flavors of Hi-C and Power Aid. Dh was like a kid in a candy shop, he had to sample almost all of them.

That was great to see you there! I'm so glad Ashley said something.

MNSSHP looks like you had fun.

It was! We really had a lot of fun! You would never have known it was really less than 24 hours since we had been together.
I like the Ariel wig on you.

Thank you. I guess it worked....

Which villain is Ginger's idol?

I was trying to leave something for Ashley to share. :rotfl: but since you asked... I believe the evil queen is her favorite. :goodvibes

missed the character at the HM. Guess we didn't walk close enough to the HM to see her.

She was hilarious. I think being a "southern gal" herself, it made her really love Ashley and Ginger. They got a long fabulously. ;)

I am almost definitely sure it was the Aulani Sunrise.
Your ribeye taco looks great. How was eating steak with plastic utensils?

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Yeah... kinda interesting. But we did make it work.

Wasn't the drink machine in the Chase Lounge the best?! I never knew there were that many flavors of Hi-C and Power Aid. Dh was like a kid in a candy shop, he had to sample almost all of them.

We have those at the restaurants up here. They are a lot of fun to mix and match. Something like over 1000 combinations. :scratchin I may be off on that... but you can definitely get creative.

That was great to see you there! I'm so glad Ashley said something.

It was really nice to see you. I also am glad Ashley noticed and said something... I tend to be more oblivious. :rotfl: I would have hated to miss you!

DIS meet. Yay! :cool1:

Can you believe Denny and I never went in the Chase Lounge. Seriously? We were right there and for some reason we never went in. I hope we had a good reason. :rolleyes1

The ritas at the Ditch are totally the best. No wonder you can't remember what you ate. :rotfl2: They have that affect. :rolleyes1

DIS meet. Yay! :cool1:

It was. Although at the time I thought we totally scared the you know what out of Michelle. She seemed so startled to see us there.

:scratchin is that a bit of a spoiler alert?? :rotfl:

:rotfl2: They are good. I can't remember the one I had... passionfruit? Maybe... or maybe that was Ashley's :rotfl:

After our impromptu dismeet, we left Epcot. We decided that a ride on the monorail would be the best way to get to our dinner ADR. We had a reservation at the Wave so we were headed to the CR.

I love the smoothies in WDW. Since we were on the dp, I made sure to get one for my drink.

The bread at the Wave is THE best bread! I am pretty sure I have said it on another of my reports, but many love the bread at LC. Don't get me wrong, that bread (the pretzel especially) is awesome. This though is my favorite.

I had swordfish

The ladies had the beef

One of the neat things about the Wave is the desserts. Little samplings of such yummy delights.

Mine

I thought the smore would be my favorite element to this dessert, but it turned out to the the cranberry 7 layer type bar cookie.

the ladies

Once dinner was over, we walked to MK. Such a nice evening for it.

We went on Buzzlight Year's ranger Spin.

Then we went to the circus area. I am not the kind of park goer who has to see each character, but I simply adore these guys in their circus attire.

We did see Daisy, but I have just one photo and we are all grimacing in it. It is not a pleasant look for any of us.

Then we went to see Goofy. What a flirt! He really was insisting on a kiss. However, I do not... DO NOT make contact with the characters if at all possible. So many wee ones touch them. We had a trip... our first trip to WDW go horribly wrong because my oldest son kissed Minnie on the nose. Not fun to have people get violently ill... and while it is possible that that kiss was not the reason behind the family spending time sleeping on a bathroom floor rather than in beds... I won't ever again risk it.

So when he kept insisting... I made a gesture as though I was going to... but never came too close. And... no one was made ill.

The girls then wanted to ride Dumbo. I decided I would sit it out and call my hubby. He had been texting me and calling... but all at times that I really couldn't chat. This was a great time to be able to. So while they got in line and rode the ride, I sat and called him.

After my call was done and their ride was over we made our way toward the new fantasyland. Just in time for Wishes to be going off.

:scratchin we may have rode LM first... or maybe it was after. Either way, our next stop was Maurice's cottage.

Then came time to meet some princesses. There was a HUGE line for Rapunzel and... hmm, not sure who was with her. There was no line for the other two...so of course we picked to see them.

That room is actually pretty well themed. I had not been there before so took a couple pictures.

Then it was time for IASM. Ginger sat that one out....

Now... notice the shoulder of the gal ahead of us. I saw quite a few of these and wonder if they were a temporary tat? If they are not what an elaborate one!

As we made our way down through Frontierland and into Adventureland, we stopped to ride POTC. I love the addition of the mermaids.

Then it was time to head out of the park.

Next Up: 10/1 Part 1

Great dinner at the Wave! Glad you enjoyed it as much as we do. ;)

You got a lot accomplished in the park lateron. Quite a few rides and your character meet looks awesome. I guess, we SHOULD get and see the characters a lot more too. :thumbsup2

The Wave not only has great food, but the atmosphere is nice. It never feels crowded.

And yes... character meets. Ya know, there are trips that I have no pictures of me with the characters. I guess since this one was without kiddos... it made more sense to get pictures of us adults.

You ladies look so adorable in all your pictures. They are great.

And the Wave - I think the food there is so yummy. I have dinner there 3 times and 2 breakfasts there. And I have a reservation there for our quick visit in March. I love the way they present the desserts.

This is a cool picture

I love the way they present the desserts too. I have to try their breakfast some time.

This is a cool picture

I thought it was kinda cool... then again... a little creepy. :rotfl: Ariel looks like she is in a bit of pain.

Ashley had never been on Dinosaur before?

Nope. Trip 28 was the trip I finally rode dinosaur!

Well, that's quite a nice surprise. After all, why should you go to her at a resort when you're already standing in a park. It only makes sense that she'd want to come to you.

Exactly!

I really like that place. A little bit of a variation from the typical counter service.

And they give you lots and lots of food. :thumbsup2

Flametree has always been a favorite of ours. We used to split 2 of the big meals till my brother started eating like a horse.

Ashley? You've never ridden it before?? I'm actually kind of glad that ride is underrated. Less of a line in front of me.

Nope. Never. It was a little intense. I'm not going to lie. Definitely not a kiddie ride!

It is a great ride! I don't think it killed Ashley to go on it either. Considering that was at the start of the trip... good thing it didn't kill her. The surprise was lovely! I mean, I like my own company well enough, but it was definitely nice that they arrived!!!

It would have been an even better surprise had you not kept insisting you were leaving the park.

I think the reason we didn't plan it that way to start was we really didn't know what time they would arrive. Also there is the matter of an extra park day added to her ticket. I am so glad it worked out for her to just meet me there. :goodvibes

Had we got in when we were suppose to around 2, we wouldn't have had time to come into the parks before having to get ready for MNSSHP.

Once I was off of Primeval Whirl, I started texting back and forth more with Ashley. I knew she should be getting close. She was asking me questions about where I was...what I was doing.... At the time I assumed it was because she wanted a play by play of the fun she was missing out on. ;) After all, I am all kinds of a fun party girl when I am all by myself.

So since the above statement was obviously sarcastic, the truth was I was kinda getting bored of my own company. I was more than happy to cut my time at AK short in order to meet Ashley and Ginger back at CBR. I think it was when I started to turn the texting conversation in that direction that I suspected that Ashely was not trying to get a play by play...but rather had ulterior motives. She wanted me to stay where I was. Why?

Well, I figured it out in time to see her coming toward me. With a big smile on her face (and I assume on mine too) it was hellos and hugs. I even got a hug out of Ginger. I normally can totally respect a person's need to not hug. My dearest friend is not a hugger. I can count on one hand how many times she has hugged me and I do not believe even once she has allowed a hug from me. So I can totally be comfortable when someone doesn't care to hug. But... I am So it was nice of Ginger to not be too opposed to my hug when I just kinda was too excited in the moment and offered it too her in a way that made it perhaps hard to resist.

It was so exciting to finally have Ashley arrive. This was not our first dismeet. We had spent some time together on a previous trip. However unlike that trip which was about families, this was to be about friends. I have read about other relationships that have been established on dis. where one person feels very connected with another... (Kathy, I am talking about you here) And like Kathy, I feel like Ashley is like a younger sister that I never had. We are so much a like... yet enough different that it makes for a quite nice friendship. What a blessing to have found her!

Making me tear up on this report woman. Even rereading it is having that effect! I had been practically bouncing around in the car the closer we got to the resort!

What I do like about the restaurant is the atmosphere. Where else can you dine WITH animals. Yes, we had some extra guests to our table who would not take no for the answer. How many nibbles were taken from our legs? Then if they are not actual dinning partners (note we never actually gave them any food from our plates) they are the table side entertainment. A very wet, newly bathed white... (hmm.:scratchin what are those large white birds? Ibis?) Well the bird decided that he/she should share in her grooming with Ashley. Right there...at the table...flipping water at us (mainly at Ashley)

Stupid Bird!

We may have actually taken a safari first. :confused3 It would have made more sense given that we had just had lunch. My pictures show Dinosaur first though...

We did ride Dino while Ging went into a store. Go figure. Then we discussed leaving. I asked to ride Safari on the off chance we missed it Saturday morning. A just in case that I'm VERY glad we did now!

We didn't have as much time as we had planned, so unpacking and decorating the room would have to wait. We had to hustle to get ready for dinner and MNSSHP.

Oh man did we hustle!

We had decided to go with more of a themed outfit rather than a costume. I took it a bit farther and added a wig. After all, I have thinning rather short hair. Somehow it just didn't seem like Ariel to me. So I added the wig. Even now, I am not sure it that was a good move or a bad one. It did require some assistance and in true "girly sleepover" mode, Ashley was happy to fix the wig for me. Kimberly (my future dil) had made me a starfish clip for the wig and so it took some finagling to get in the right place.

I knew we'd get it eventually. That clip was just causing issues!

Once we were in the gates and got our party bands, we went to dinner. We had an ADR for LTT. I am very glad that Ashley talked me into this one. I had not been there since 2008.

To think this one was a spur of the moment "We need one more ADR" type thing! It was very good!

We rode HM and I know we had some pictures taken by the carriage. :scratchin I don't have any though?

I think I have one!

I think we then went to where I thought the dwarves would be hanging out. :rotfl: Well, I guess I should have not assumed that it would be at the same place that they had been for the other two parties I attended.

It was easy enough to recover from though and soon enough we were sitting in the correct line that was not all that long. We even had a place to sit while we waited. Once the dwarves came out it wasn't long at all before it was our turn to meet them. Again, I know we had pictures taken... but alas, I don't have any. Surely there will be some on the pp cd.

Oh man! You were so sad when you saw that they weren't in the "right" spot!

Now that the party was in full swing, we made our way through the new fantasyland. We met up with Gaston. We hit some treat stops. We rode Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid. We continued on through the circus area and back to Tomorrowland. We hit more treat stops/trails. I think it was then split up a bit. I am not sure. Ginger went to shop? Ashley and I rode Peter Pan's Flight. What luck, as it was closed for refurb within the next couple of days.

Hey Ging likes nice looking men.

We did end up back together at HM. What a hoot the lady in front was.

She was quite engaging and of course, she loved Ashley and Ginger.

Yep the sweet tea convos. I think Ging video taped the whole thing.

I thought we rode POTC... maybe not?

I think we did? I think we went to see the new mermaid stuff at the beginning, but I don't remember. I know we were going to at the end, but our feet hurt too much!

This may have been the last time the wig was on. See how it is slightly falling off? :rotfl2:

You yanked it off as soon as that picture was taken.

Back at CBR we were able to check our loot. We had hit all of the trick or treat stops. Maybe even a couple twice. :rolleyes1. It was a good thing we did not rely on the bags provided at the gate. I don't know if this does justice to just how much candy we got. I know that Ashley at some point transfered hers to a 5 gallon ziplock bag. Yup... we got a lot of candy that night. :rotfl:

Yep a 5 gallon bag. Ging had just as much. We still have some of that candy left over!

It was a tad more than a dismeet since we were rooming together... but yes! It was PERFECT timing. :cool1:

Just a bit huh? ;)

Thank you. :goodvibes I dont know about that wig though... it really was itchy...and on more than one occasion I had to have Ashley either tell me to leave it alone or fix it for me. :rotfl2:

I'd turn around and see brown poking out. It kept trying to slip backwards!

You do have me beat! It was actually very good. And the dessert, was actually quite interesting. Sweet and tart... but also had interesting "fall" spices in it.

Sadly I think it was my least favorite dessert of the trip. I like tart, but that just had tooooo much!

Yes. In MK they have chargers. I think DHS has them as well. Not sure of AK. However... in Epcot when Ashley tried they acted as though she were completely crazy. I mean... in MK there is a definite system. You fill out a form... they grab a charger... voila. Phone is charged. I do not understand why in Epcot she was given such a hard time and ultimately could not do it. I thought it was a service available in all the parks. I am pretty sure I have done it in MK and DHS

Epcot doesn't. The guy looked at me like I was nuts! Found out they did have them in the Chase Lounges.

I know we did the trails twice... but I think we only hit a couple other stops twice (the wearthers carmel apple candy stop... oh! ::yes:: yes please!!!) but other than that it was just a smile. I think Gaston must have given Ginger a LOT of his barrels of rootbeer. The two of them had quite the report. :rotfl2:

Hey we weren't the only ones!

:rotfl2: I suppose the wig helped with the look. It may have helped to bond Ashley and I more because she was tending to me a lot... Either she was fixing it or telling me to not scratch at it. :rotfl2:

:)

MNSSHP looks like you had fun. I like the Ariel wig on you. Which villain is Ginger's idol? We missed the character at the HM. Guess we didn't walk close enough to the HM to see her.

Ging is obsessed with the Wicked Queen and to some extent Maleficent. (She was Merida here though.)

That was great to see you there! I'm so glad Ashley said something.

:)

:rotfl2: They are good. I can't remember the one I had... passionfruit? Maybe... or maybe that was Ashley's :rotfl:

I had a pineapple. Ging's was an Aluni Sunrise from the Hawaii Kiosk

We did see Daisy, but I have just one photo and we are all grimacing in it. It is not a pleasant look for any of us.

Pretty sure I have one. Will see shortly

I won't ever again risk it.

So when he kept insisting... I made a gesture as though I was going to... but never came too close. And... no one was made ill.

Cutest was him having to hid from the little boy.

That is a great picture.

:scratchin we may have rode LM first... or maybe it was after. Either way, our next stop was Maurice's cottage.

I think we did Ariel first and then Maurice as well. I'll have to look through my photos in a moment.

If I remember right, we jumped line to go to the other line!

Ging doesn't ride it! I think she went to shop!

As we made our way down through Frontierland and into Adventureland, we stopped to ride POTC. I love the addition of the mermaids.
I think we rode it earlier. I think we walked over to do it after the shopping, and decided it wasn't worth it with our feet hurting.

Alright folks. I know Ann is very far ahead of me in updates. Life has been a little crazy. This is more of a life update than anything. I will try to get to a real update as well if I can.

So, I don't know how many of you following along have read previous PTR's or TR's from me, but I am a massage therapist by trade. I am a massage therapist in our biggest mall in Louisiana. That mall is in the full holiday swing and has been since Halloween ended. Now this is normally crazy enough, but two weeks ago we lost our third massage therapist for lets just say unsavory activities while on shift. So now those 30 hours a week she was working are split between me and my boss... Plus each week the mall days get longer and longer. Next week the mall will pretty much be open 8am-11pm every day. Yeah that's some insane hours no matter how ya dice them. This is where I have been... or crashed out in my bed after getting home. I'm an insomniac by nature. I haven't slept this many hours at night in years. Got to love exhaustion.

So on top of all this, I had my 25th birthday 10 days ago, and my wonderful DF and DD will have theirs in 6 days. Then there will be about 7 Christmas' between the 24th and 25th that I have had to find time to shop for.

Tomorrow we are road tripping it down to Gulfport, Mississippi to do the outlet mall and Disney store! Gotta finish this list!

Nope. Trip 28 was the trip I finally rode dinosaur!

Stupid Bird!

:rotfl2:

I knew we'd get it eventually. That clip was just causing issues!

As difficult to get it to "clip" in... I think it really helped to tie things together.

I think I have one!

Well, as soon as you post some updates (I know... things are WAY to crazy for that right now)...when you do, I will just snag any pictures that I need. I assume that is ok?

Oh man! You were so sad when you saw that they weren't in the "right" spot!

I just really don't like to make stupid mistakes. If it is just me that has to deal with the consequences... then ok. However, when it affects others it can really make me feel REALLY bad.

You yanked it off as soon as that picture was taken.

OMG! I was so ready. It was so very very itchy. I think I learned one very valuable thing that night. I am not cut out for wearing true costumes. Ya know... I had thought that Steve and I would go all out for next fall's MNSSHP. Now, I think something simple is a better idea. ::yes::

Sadly I think it was my least favorite dessert of the trip. I like tart, but that just had tooooo much

I think the spices were what made it... interesting. I wouldn't say it was my least favorite... but not something I would order over and over.

Epcot doesn't. The guy looked at me like I was nuts! Found out they did have them in the Chase Lounges.

That is good to know. I wish they had the chase lounges all year. It is definitely on my "remember for next year" list.

If I remember right, we jumped line to go to the other line!

We did! It was like everyone was in one line and didn't realize they could go to the other. I even thought the other was a fast pass line. Glad you knew what was what...

I think we rode it earlier. I think we walked over to do it after the shopping, and decided it wasn't worth it with our feet hurting.

It is in my pictures after IASM but before we left the park. I think it was the last thing we did?

Alright folks. I know Ann is very far ahead of me in updates. Life has been a little crazy. This is more of a life update than anything. I will try to get to a real update as well if I can.

That is a crazy amount of time the mall is open! Do you have to be there all of the hours?

I hope you had a good time down at the outlet mall!!!

Forget worrying about kissing a character on the nose, I'd probably be laying on the bathroom floor from overeating at F&W. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: The food options all look great. Not sure about the vegetarian haggis though... :faint:

I have to say that the picture of the fireworks above Ariel looks really cool. :thumbsup2

Ashley, Sorry things have been so busy at work, but at least time is winding down and hopefully things should be back to normal soon.

So glad I found this trip report! I am planning a girls' trip with some friends during the TOT race weekend. We plan to run either the 5k or 10 miler and visit the F & W Festival. I am enjoying reading your report. Can't wait to read more!

 hi there! So glad you are here to join along!. I too am going to be doing ToT again next year. Next year though is a couples trip with just dh and I. Once I get through my january trip, I will start on a PTR for fall 2014. If you want to join there, I will be sure and give you a heads up when it starts. :goodvibes

I will be able to fit my update of 10/1 into one post. I really don't recall much from that day, but I do have a few pictures to help me.

We started our day in DHS. I think this was the day that The monsters U picture op was out front and we considered getting a pp picture of us in front of it. The line was VERY long though. Seemed odd to me since I don't believe there were any characters...just a large... was it a topiary? :scratchin

So we went in. Of course we attempted to get to TSM, but I know we didn't ride. I assume fast passes were out and the line was just too long. Oh well. None of us seemed too heart broken. I think we all enjoyed leisurely making our way to the park instead of getting up and making a mad dash.

Instead, we rode this.

Since I am not a big fan of ToT or RNRC (I have never rode..but I assume I would not be a fan. :rotfl:) DHS holds very little in the way of attractions for me. ST? yes. I do like it. Other than that and perhaps TSM (when one can ride it without waiting forever) GMR is all I really feel I HAVE to do in DHS.

We had the gangster.

I think...possibly we rode Star Tours that day too. Maybe? I have no pictures.

Then it was time to leave DHS and head to Epcot where we would be having lunch. We did split up though. I was feeling a bit anxious. I hate waiting for buses, and so when we missed the boat and the bus to epcot seemed like it too would take too long.... I decided to walk. It was a good experiment to have Ginger and Ashley take the bus in order to see if walking really does save time. Turns out... probably took about the exact same time. I did arrive to lunch first, but that is because Ginger was so kind as to make a purchase for Ashley and I on their way in. More on that later though.

So I walked. It was a beautiful day for it and there were people out fishing.

As I mentioned, I arrived to Les Chefs de France ahead of the girls. I got us checked in and waited. I believe I was seated before they arrived.

Once they did, Ginger ordered a cheese plate.

Now, I love cheese... but I honestly did not think I would like what was on that plate. So I never tried it. Little did I realize that I would have LOVED it. As the trip went on and Ginger ordered more cheese plates, it made me curious and on the plane home I ventured out on my own. Needless to say.. yeah, kinda hooked now.

Then a special visitor came to see us.

This totally threw me. Armand acted as though we were not allowed to take pictures of Remy and so he posed instead just as I was going to take a picture.

Then he was so kind as to let us actually have some interaction with Remy.

Too bad that I couldn't seem to get just a picture of him and not include our neighboring dinning guests.

Speaking of neighboring guests. There was a couple of gals near our table who coveted Ginger's lunch. Ginger was kind enough to share. Honestly, it surprised me that took her up on her offer. I am not sure I would have been as eager to dine off of a strangers plate.

And what did we have for lunch? Well, I know I started with the Bisque de Homard. I really could have just had that and been happy! SOOO good. Not sure what they other two ordered as their starter. I then had Croque monsieur et sa salade verte. I think Ashley had the quiche. Ginger had the Gratin de Macaroni (which an ample enough serving to section off a bit and share with our neighbors)

For dessert, I had the cake.

I believe that both Ginger and Ashley had the creme brule

After lunch we took some time to stroll around WS.

We sampled some offerings at the food and wine booths...

We enjoyed more than I apparently have pictures of. Remember how I mentioned Ginger and Ashley arriving a bit later than I did because Ginger made a purchase? Well, it came in particularly handy for all the sampling we had that day. You can see in the picture above, the tray that she purchased for each of us.. It was AWESOME! I plan to bring mine with me next fall. On 10/1 Ashley had fresh watermelon juice from the terra booth. I had a happy lychee with vodka from the booth in China. This was STRONG. I mean... seriously strong. I think it was after that drink that Ashley texted my husband something to the effect that she may need to carry me out of Epcot that night. :rotfl2: At another point in the day, we all shared some of the baked cheese ravioli with creamy beef bolgneses sauce from Italy. Ashley and Ginger each had a lobster roll from the hops and barley booth. I had a florida grass fed beef sliderwith monterey jack and sweet and hot pickle from the Florida booth. (a close favorite of the day) Ashley got a teriyaki chicken hand roll from Japan. Ginger had not one, but 2 Green tea coladas from Japan. Ashley and Ginger had the chocolate milk creme brulee topped with caramelized sugar from France. I tried the Eiffel sour cosmo slush from France (pictured above) I had the warm chocolate pudding with baileys custard from Ireland. (omg! so yummy) Ginger had the Canadian cheddar cheese soup from Canada. She and Ashley both enjoyed the wild mushroom beef also from Canada. I tried the apple ice wine from Canada (I believe that is pictured above) It was AMAZING... but a bit pricey for the amount you get. However... that is to be expected from ice wine. I got the chicken gyro with tzatziki sauce from Greece (pictured above) My favorite of the day... of the trip though was the SScottish banoffee tart with bananas and scotch whisky from Scotland. I could not believe how good this was!!!

At some point in our meandering and nibbling around the world it came time for the eat to the beat concert. Honestly, I love music as much as the next person however I am a bit underwhelmed by the acts they have at this. However this night wasn't horrible. It was the Go Go's? Belinda Carlisle? I can't remember what Ashley and Ginger were up to, but I stopped to watch the show. Maybe they were in the chase lounge? Hops and Barley booth? Or maybe shopping. :rotfl2:

Next Up: 10/2 - Part 1

Great pictures of DHS and Epcot, Ann!
We do a little more rides at Epcot, but none the less it is the park with the least rides for us as well. :lmao:

The walk between DHS and Epcot is quite nice, we have done it a few times. And for us it is far more enjoyable than waiting in line for a Friendship. Don't think it saves much time though. :goodvibes

You got to sample A LOT at F&W! And the photos of your food look awesome!

Thanks... I actually wish I got some better pics.

I had taken the walk from BW to DHS so I knew it was doable. I actually enjoyed my walk.

That was just one day for us! :rotfl: There was some really good stuff and some just "ok" stuff that we tried. We did manage to pick some good things that day. Not every day was full of "wins"
