Bagless Theme Park Days- HOW???

I hate being weighed down. I carry a Dooney & Bourke wristlet. Perfect size for my cardholder, phone, keys, chapstick.

All I take into the park are my ID, cell phone, and maybe some chapstick and my small camera. All of that can fit in my pockets without any problem. If I'm wearing something that doesn't have pockets, my husband can carry my stuff in his pockets because he just carries his wallet and phone. I don't like having a bag on me. Don't like trying to figure out what to do with it on rides or in restaurants.

I've been bagless since DD was 5. Strollerless too. It was like a whole new world. lol

I have a lanyard that carries my ID, a bit of cash, insurance card and credit card. I also carry my cell phone. If we want water we get free ice water or just buy a bottle.

We also take midday breaks by the pool so we aren't in the parks open to close. We don't need to carry much for 4-5 hours.

I would go bagless if it weren't for my prescription sunglasses. I need the sunglasses outside, but I can't see inside with them, so I bring my glasses on and the prescription sunglesses in a crossbody. Don't want them to get lost or scratched, so I bring their case. Can't really carry phone and prescription sunglasses in my hand all day, and they do not properly fit in my pocket.

I mostly just go with my phone in a zipped up pocket, my magic band, and a water bottle on the cute Mickey head rubber holder Disney sells attached to a longer lanyard I doctored up at home (long enough for me to wear crossbody-style). I managed to find a pair of cute, lightweight shorts with zippered pockets.

To be fair, the only other thing I needed every once in a while was a poncho and my DH/DS took turns carrying all our ponchos in a backpack. I did without on a few mornings I went out without them though. We don't bother with cash, ID, etc in the parks - magic band for everything. The one time I needed cash was when the machine was not working when I wanted to buy a balloon in MK. Oh well, we just waited to buy it another day. Still glad I didn't bother to carry cash.

I wear a lanyard with my ID, AP, TiW card, credit card. Chapstick in pocket, phone in hand (or pocket). Sunglasses on face, hat on head. Dresses with pockets are great!

On days I don't go in bagless, I wear a very small backpack and throw those things inside of it. The only difference to me is not worrying too much about my glasses/hat/phone flying out of the under-seat stow net (or hands) on rides when I have the backpack, since everything is contained. And a little peace of mind if it rains, since the bag is waterproof.

With the backpack I might also carry: kindle, small notepad and pen, folded poncho, travel-size baby wipes packet, phone cord, earbuds, bandaids, lactase dose, and sunscreen bottle. And hand sanitizer on a keychain. Still, the bag is so small and light that I find myself reaching back every once in a while to make sure everything is zippered and items accounted for :) By "small" I really mean the kindle is just a bit short of the height of the bag.

I never spent more than 20 seconds at bag check, anyway. I'm not sure I prefer one over the other -- bagless vs. small bag. They are about equivalent to me, so long as you don't bring much. Sounds like that's the case for folks bringing small crossbodies and wristlets.

We visited this past spring with another couple. First time in years without kids or the need for a bag. Wallet, Phone and Magic Bang was all we needed. It felt so liberating.

I would hate having stuff in my pockets. And I would stress all day that something would fall out. I'd much rather spend the 5 minutes in the bag check line, then spend the whole day worrying about losing something out of my pockets.

Same, and I'd feel naked without my purse. I'm pretty sure I'd constantly be panicking that I lost my bag before remembering I didn't bring one.

I had young kids and a stroller for a long time. Then, when we got rid of the stroller, we had Mom in a wheelchair. I always had somewhere to hang my stuff and always had a drink holder. The bag check line didn't bother me so it wasn't an issue.

Now, I have no stroller and no wheelchair and I refuse to carry a bunch of stuff.

I carry my cell phone and a ziplock bag in my pocket and my ID, AP discount card, a few dollars and a CC in my lanyard pouch. I have a metal water bottle that keeps ice all day. I wear that across my body on a luggage strap. The bagless line is a bonus. The real advantage is not being weighed down.

What kind of lugggage strap do you use? We all have the metal thermos bottles and carry them in a bag (each carrys their own) but they keep the water so cold and my son won't drink warm water. The year we used tap water I think I came home dehydrated.

I would love to go bagless and we could if we didn't carry our water-and. O I don't want to have to go to the CS areas and ask for water. If I want a drink k in line, I want to take a sip. I don't want to gulp the cup on my walk to a ride.

I would just bring a zip lock bag to throw the phones in for water rides too.

Or WDW could just charge a lot less for a bottle of water! If they did I would buy it.

Does going bagless in the park apply to those who have strollers? I would love to go bagless but we have to push the stroller. Can I take that through the line or do I have to go in the regular line?

I just can't do the bagless thing. I admit it..I love having my stuff in my bag :o

I just took the strap from one of my bags at home. It is nylon web from a duffel. It has a clip on both ends that I clip to a carabineer and then to my bottle (bottle has a hard plastic loop)

I had an extra laptop bag type strap. I ended up sewing it together to form a cross body strap. I had a Mickey bottle strap (that attaches to any normal plastic disposable water bottle) that easily attached to this and was perfect for bagless carrying of the water bottle. Previously I used a lanyard but water is heavy to carry around the neck.

Thanks, that would work with out bike bottles that are double insulated plastic but they don't keep water cold like the heavy thermos ones.

I will have to keep looking. I saw something on amazon a few years ago and the reviews were mixed. It was neoprene.

I have the prescription Transitions eye/sunglasses. They are dark sunglasses in the sun and regular lenses indoors. They work great! No switching needed.

We used to go bagless before kids. We just bought what we needed and carried our phone and wallets in our pockets. Sunglasses on our heads if we weren't using them. We would apply sunscreen before we left and didn't reapply until we went back to the hotel usually during the day. Now we have 3 kids and tons of bags.

some type of cargo short. when dh and I go without the kids, he holds my ID and phone. I don't take anything else. It is so freeing since we usually go with our 2 & 4yo and carry a lot of stuff.
