Baggage allowances

On another thread I've detailed my worries about whether or not United's flights are going to continue as normal or not. In answer to my original thread someone suggested I look at United's web site. Whilst doing that I've found info which suggests that your luggage allowance (definitely on internal flights at least) is restricted to 50 pounds per piece, which I reckon to be about 22 kilos. This is alot less than the usual 32-kilo limit normal on scheduled flights.
Has anyone flown United recently, do you happen to know the luggage allowances still? Also, when we fly from Washington to Orlando, will we only be allowed internal flight allowances, i.e.50 pounds! Any help...

In the United Vacations brochure it states that the luggage allowance is 32kg per person - I assume that is for the whole journey.......

I think from the other thread you are flying with BMI,I took this from BMI website
transatlantic


cabin baggage - the business
2 pieces total weight 23 kg. Max weight per piece 12 kg

cabin baggage - the new economy
2 pieces, total weight 16 kg. Max weight per piece 12 kg

cabin baggage - economy
1 piece at 10 kg

checked baggage
2 pieces total weight 64 kg. Max weight per piece 32 kg

as your baggage weight is only done once from the departing airport then you have double the allowance from normal airlines
e.g. one person can have two cases each weighing 32kg.

Thanks Wildcat and Cath, you're quite right, it is BMI. From what you've said normal scheduled allowances seem to be the order of the day.
It's great having 32kilos/piece because you really don't need to think about your luggage being too heavy, I think it's practically impossible to load even the biggest suitcase to 32 kilos (although dw has tried on occasions!)
