Bagels and Cream Cheese in all the parks?

Hi All,

Here's my dumb question: in each park, is there a place I can buy a quick bagel and cream cheese, preferably counter service?

The background: less than two weeks to go. Two young boys, 2 and 6, who actually aren't that picky, but don't really like 'kid food'. The little one is prone to 'tummy troubles' when he's off his routine. I think I can squash it with a healthy dose of cereal in the morning and a bagel during the day, rounded out by a good meal at night. We'll have a car, so I can go out and buy a dozen at the supermarket and pack them, but I'd rather not have to fuss if we can just pick them up. Here's what I came up with for possibilities, but I need some confirmation if you know I can get them there or have other suggestions:

MK: Main Street Bakery
MGM: Starring Rolls Cafe
EPCOT Future World: Fountain View
AK: I've got nothing

At AK, we are hoping to make an 8am ADR at Donald's, but we'll be on a fireworks cruise until at least 11pm the night before. If we make it to Donald's I'll work it out with my server to take a bagel home, if not, are there other places?

I know this is not as important as many other questions, but it would sure make our trip much more enjoyable to not have to worry about little man's tummy.

Thanks,

Yes, there are bagels. Nothing great, not real NY bagels. You may be hard-pressed to get it warmed or with cream cheese though. Good luck with the tummy. You may want to look for packages of soup crackers (saltines or oyster). They are great when DD's stomach is upset.

Thank you both. You've been a real help. :teeth: Quality isn't real important to him. He eats them stale and plain if I let him. He likes the carbs, but I add cream cheese to fatten him up since he's on a high-fat diet.

I didn't even think of Seasons. We haven't been since they rearranged. It's on our schedule already, at least to have a peek. Now it'll be a must.

Thanks again,

You can get bagels (and I think cream cheese) at Tusker House in Africa in AK. It's on the bakery side, not the counter service side. So, when you walk in the door, it's right there on the right.

Even as a grown-up, I have tummy troubles when I go to Disney! So many great foods that I want to squeeze in during my trip! I usually end up feeling ill on the ride home, so I always bring my Pepto caplets with me.

I have a few resort suggestions: 1.) You can get bagels with cream cheese at the Boardwalk Bakery. If you are staying anywhere near there, it is a quick stop in the morning - or even the evening (It's open late). From there it's a quick hop to Epcot, MGM, or you can take the bus from the Boardwalk anywhere else.
2.) The Swan (in the am, there is a coffee bar just inside the boatside entrance) has bagels.

3.) Another idea would be to get your bagel and cream cheese as you are leaving the parks each night - that way you'd have it first thing in the am, and DS's could eat while you are getting ready.

4.) Also try Gasparilla Grill at the GF (a quiet quick service restaurant with a view of the castle, if ou eat outside).
5.) I can't confirm it online, but I think Wolfgang Puck Express also had bagels/bakery goods in the a.m. In Epcot, the Foutainview Cafe has baked goods, but I'm also not certain of a bagel. If we have breakfast in Epcot, we usually go to the Sunshine Food Fair - you can fastpass Soarin' and grab a bite to eat, go on the greenhouse ride, hit the Kidcot station while you wait for your fastpass time. The food there is pretty good. We also like it for an inexpensive lunch, so it's a tough call whather or not to eat breakfast there.

I can only tell you that Staring Roles definitely has them - with cream cheese but you can't get them warm or toasted.

I always throw a pack of them in my suitacase dont take up too much room and leaves a space for souveniers. You can get creanm cheese at the store at the resort if at a disney property.

i have bought from food court at value resorts also and there is toaster for toasting.

As usual, you guys are great! Thanks for all the ideas. Mickeyluvr, I especially like your ideas about the resorts. I hadn't really thought of them, but on our way to the parks, we can definitely take a quick run and let the little one munch while we wait in line at a park. He can always have cereal in a bag later.

Again, thanks for all the help with our little (let's hope) dilema.

If you're staying in a villa I would buy a package from the store and toast them up in the morning. A package was about $3 for 6 but they'd be at least $1 each in the parks. I was suffering from horrible morning sickness on our Dec trip and had 2 bagels per day. I bought a pack in the OKW store before we even went to our room :)
