We will be in Disney the week of Thanksgiving. I have read alot of good review here on the Baggallini Messenger bag and I think that I am going to order one. My worry is will it be big enough? I know the weather will be cooler in November in the morning and evening, so I think we will possibly have light jackets. Would I be able to fit a jacket in it or will I even need to bring one. I do not want to have to tie one around my waist all day. Any thoughts from those who have been at this time of year?

First of all I am waving to you...we will be the week of Thanksgiving also!! :cool1:

I have 2 DD, ages 3 and 6. I am taking an adult backpack that will hold everything we need. I even rolled up everyone's jackets and they easily fit. Not putting a whole lot else in it, just essentials...sm first aid kit, a few small snacks, baby wipes, camera, cell phone, 2 water bottles, glow sticks and an extra pair of clothing for each child. I already packed it and it hardly weighed a thing!! And it is "man enough" looking that DH will carry it too!! :rotfl:

dw and i going also.just the 2 of us.21 year annv.planning on light long sleve shirts and dw takes light fleese for night shows.maybe we will all run into each other we will be the 2 people having a ball with the kids at home.:rotfl2:

To the question about the baggallini being big enough. I'm not all sure what your taking in your bag to start.
I pack quiet a bit with me since I have all my incasers I might need for kids, and I still have room, but not enough to put a jacket in it.
I don't know how big a jacket you'll need, if you don't pack a lot with you and your a small person with a fairly small jacket you could PROBABLY fit it in, but I hate to direct you to get the bag and it not work for you, I would say it's worth getting it to see if it would work out for you.
I do however have a suggestion of taking a bigger backpack with all the things you think you'll need for the day and getting a locker at the front of the park and putting your big bag there for the day to go back to at any point in the day to get what you need (including your jacket) and having your baggallini with you the all around the park.
Since it's a one time pay and turn in your key at the end of the day to get deposit back, and you think you might need a change of clothes for you and anyone else going this might be your best alternative.
My thinking is if it's cold enough to need a jacket you'll probably want warmer clothes to put on in the evening, (i.e. sweats to put on over your lighter clothes) if you have your big bag in a locker this will also prevent you from having to go back to your room. Just a thought.

As for a jacket YES! you will need one in Nov. We went for Thanksgiving one year and I took my spring jacket. The first time I used it I was surprised to find I had left a pair of lite weight gloves in the pocket which came in handy at night watching the fireworks at Epcot.
You may want to consider carring a small backpack. This way you will have your jacket with you. If you buy something you will have a place to put it rather than carring around. I find that using a backpack is handy when going to the bathroom. I keep it on my back while using the facility and then there is no fear of someone reach over the door and grabbing my purse off the hook and running off. So that is my tip for staying safe and warm.

Thanks for all the ideas. My dh will most likely carry his backpack with the kids jackets in it, so I just have to worry about myself. I do not plan on bringing that much into the parks, just a few essentials - phone, key, a little cash, camera, bandaids, etc.., nothing large at all. So, hopfully, I can find a small lightweight jacket to bring that will fit in it. The locker idea is great too!! I did not even think of that!

Looking forward to it... I do not think that the trip can get here fast enough! I haven't been to Disney in about 20 years and it is the first trip for my twin 5y.o. boys!!

THANKS!!

I would think you would have enough room as long as you don't have too much other stuff. This past May, I carried 2 adult rain ponchos, 1 child poncho, diapers, autograph book, 2 small misting fans, and even more stuff. I think as long as your jacket would roll up small, you should be fine! ;)

OMGosh! Your going to have a great time then!! I'm so excited for you and your family to be able to go on this trip!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:
The backpack thing might actually be a good idea after all since you have the boys....When I travel I always take my big backpack with me full of the things I need for when I get to my destination, my baggallini is in it, with my books, notebook with plans/ressies, small blanket for plane, small pillow for my lower back for plane, snacks, water bottle- once I pass the inspectors.. what have you's. (This is a backpack that's big enough to carry laptop and books for school)
When I'm at my hotel/home of my destination I usually only take what I need with me sans the big back pack UNLESS I'm going to WDW!!! :cloud9:
Then if I think I'm going to need a change of clothes, or the kids want to take other items they think they will need later i.e. glow in the dark paraphernalia to be used later that night, it goes from cool to hot or visa versa then I have all that I need without feeling I have to go all the way back to the resort/hotel to get what I need. I have it all with us in the park in a locker that we can get to a lot easier than leaving. I also have had to use the locker at more than one park and they do give you back a deposit and the next park does give you a break on the price of your next locker since you already rented one at another park, just be sure to say something to the first cashier at your first rental locker, I think they give you a receipt or something, can't remember it's been a while.
I was on a trip last summer and it had gone from hot and sunny to rainy and cool-OK, cooler, so I needed to get rid of my visor, and sunglasses and get a dry change of clothes at one point, I was sure glad I had my backpack with me.
This was one of the best trips into the park because of it, I didn't feel I had to be stuck with something all day that I didn't need, and get to the things I did need! :lovestruc
Be blessed on your trip, and have a great time!!! I know you will! :)
