You can cancel your ticket if less than 24 hours since you booked it for a full refund. Just make sure the new fare is still available.

The hassle of waiting for the credit to rebook over a whole $30 plus tax doesn't seem worth it to me. I got a great time compared to Southwest and Air Tran (4:30pm vs 8:00am). I did contact best fare guarantee section of delta website, so they may credit it back to me. We'll see.
