Backstage Magic - 8/8/10

So nice to read that you had such a wonderful time. Diana is fabulous!!! :goodvibes I'm looking forward to reading more about your trip and seeing pictures. Always fun to read everyones experiences.

Thanks - it really was fabulous and Diana was great! I teased her about being on the website and being famous. She just laughed - really very sweet!

By the way - always meant to tell you that I love your screen name (big Jack fan myself - can't wait for the next Pirate's installment). :goodvibes

How funny about Diana. She really is just SO sweet! She deserves the raves. She is so patient too. :goodvibes

Thank you regarding my screen name! Aren't they fun movies? My hubby keeps telling me...time to end it. But, I just can't get enough of Jack. So glad there are so many of us who still have the same feeling! I hope to be on Backstage Magic right after the movie opens to see it at the El Cap. Did you see a movie there? Or, did you go to Jimmy Kimmel?

I do love the Pirate movies - still think the first was the best (so far) but Jack is just so entertaining to watch in all of them. I am taking a cruise on the Dream next May 19th and really hoping that if the movie stays on track with it's current release date that I'll get to see the movie on the ship. :thumbsup2

I actually went out to LA a day early and caught Toy Story 3 at the El Capitan on the Saturday night (what a great theatre). I was also lucky enough to be one of the 9 that got to see Jimmy Kimmel taping on the Monday night. Lucky that there were only 9 that wanted or could go that night so we didn't need to do a lottery - probably had something to do with the fact that you had to be 18 to attend and most of the people on the tour had children. That was fun after getting to see the tour of the backstage earlier in the day. :)

I accidently threw away the card Diana and Kristen sent for the pictures...

I liked Diana so much--I want to do the ABD SW tour with her. Actually I wanted to do this tour before but now I'm certain. She really is an incredible guide!

How neat to be on the Dream next year! I hope the movie stays on track too! Would be awesome to see the movie on the ship!!! :)

For Backstage Magic #3, we "swear" we are going to go a day early and do touristy things in the area. We have yet to see a movie at the El Cap, because we went to Jimmy Kimmel that evening. Unless there is someone we really want to see, I am hoping we experience the El Cap. (The first time, Dr McSteamy from Greys Anatomy was on. Who can miss him? LOL!) Were Guillermo or Uncle Frank around the studio when you toured in the morning? They were so nice! We were so surprised of the studio being that small. But, what a neat place!

What was your favorite experience of the tour?

That is a hard one - so many great moments on this trip. I really loved the Imagineering Studio tour (loved meeting Lucky). Also a highlight was getting to eat at Club 33. So many great experiences that it really is hard to narrow it down to 1. Oh and it was cool getting to say a quick hello to Forrest Whitaker at the Walt Disney Studios. :thumbsup2

You got McSteamy?!!! Lucky you! We got Chris Harrison from the Bachelor Pad LOL. I just went to Jimmy's site and it looks like the taping that I went to is going to air this Thursday so I'll have to tivo it.

I was away again this past w/end and just got home so I still have to download my pictures and start to write up a bit of a review.

No Uncle Frank. He's under the weather and not feeling well. Supposedly, he's been out sick for a while.

Got our DVD with the Slideshow and all our Guide's pics yesterday! Now, I need to get busy and do our scrapbook before I forget al the details!!!

Yeah, On our July ABD trip when we toured the Jimmy Kimmel live studios, we saw Guillermo,:thumbsup2 but no Uncle Frank:sad2:
