Not going to be anywhere near the parks in August, but if you haven't taken the tour before I think you'll really enjoy it. The only disappointment was that it had to end. Enjoy the experience!

Hi DisneyCruisin - my mom and I will be on the August 8th Backstage Magic tour with you. We signed up back in January and can't wait! Who will be traveling with you?

My husband and 9 year old son will be along too! I'm glad someone from here is going! We just signed up and CANNOT wait!!!

Did they happen to mention how full our tour was? I was curious. I've been waiting to see someone else from the boards say they were going on my tour so I was so excited to see your post.

I cannot wait for this trip too! We are actually coming into LA on the 7th of August and then staying an extra night on the 13th in Anaheim.

When we booked there was one room left (after ours). I know we have quite a few kids which I am glad for us because of DS (I just hope they are as well behaved as he is).

We are coming into LAX on the 7th too (I think we land around 9:40a.m.) and staying in Anaheim an extra day too. I know we are going to rent a car in Hollywood and try to go around and sightsee before the tour starts.

We went on the Magic and Merriment Tour through D23 this past December and it was the highlight of my son's life. He's been begging to go on another Disney tour and cannot wait for this trip!

Thanks for the info on the tour and I guess it's now safe to say that our tour is officially on! There was a point where if they didn't have enough people on the tour that they could cancel.

I'm glad for your son that there will be other children for him to hang and sure he will love this tour from everything that I've read about it. Hell, I feel like a big disney kid myself (promise that I'm well behaved too ).

We should be arriving close to the same time - 9:55am PST on the 7th. We won't have a car but will probably just stick close to the area of the hotel or take a tour or grab a taxi. I'm starting to look into what we can do to entertain ourselves.

My friend went to the Magic n Merriment in WDW last December and loved it. I'm hoping to get tickets this year if I can manage it.

Hi Susans - I'm so happy to meet another person going on our Aug. 8th tour! From everything that I've been reading about this trip, I think we'll have a blast!

I'm going on this tour with my sister because although my husband likes Disney. He doesn't love it like I do

So my sister, who also loves Disney and I are going to have a blast!

This is my 3rd ABD--I know we're bound to have a wonderful time!

Been to Peru and the Galapados with Disney so I know they will do everything well Can't wait!

Next year with hubby ABD China I hope.

FYI - FAO Swartz (the toy store) in NYC has muppets that you can customize and buy. Don't ask how I know! There's a green guy in a red hoodie in my suitcase right now! They have a whole little corner where you can design your own and they build it. Just getting ready for August! is my mantra right now!

I'll be going into NYC soon - maybe I'll have to make a little pit stop by FAO to see muppets.

Ok - so I ordered my mom's and my tickets to see Toy Story 3 at the El Capitan for Aug. 7th. I'm really looking forward to seeing a movie there and then it will be cool to take the tour a couple days later.

No - no well known muppets are available. It's a generic orange, blue or green. Shapes are similar to some seen on the muppet show - but no "known" guys. Miss Piggy's Statue of Liberty outfit is available though.

We got them for 7pm in the front balcony. Not cheap tickets but I was told that they are having an after movie thing - on their website it says Toy Story 3 fun zone but doesn't give any details.

Just giving this a little push back to the front page as we are now 40 days away from our Backstage adventure.

Has anyone received their package from ABD with our itinerary and little extras? I believe someone said that it show up around the 45 day mark.
