Backpack w/snacks & drinks

Does US & IOA allow you to bring things in?

I hve never understood why so many people carry a backpack full of drinks and snacks. I find it easier to travel as light as possible. Sure you pay more, but I don't want to spend my vacation feeling like a pack mule

Yes. Especially water and a few snack bars. It starts out heavy but lightens over the day. We still eat meals at the restaurants.

I've seen quite a few families bringing in backpacks. I don't but I can see where it's convenient and quick for a snack, particullarly if you want to keep moving.:)

Can you take the bags on the rides? When we went to Seaworld I had to put my backpack in a locker before we could go on the rides and it was a pain! Not to mention you had to pay for the lockers. If I had known that I would not have brought it.

You have to put your bag in lockers for a few rides. Based on the wait time, the locker is free for a certain time period. I've seen the wait at 5 minutes and the locker 'free' period was 20 minutes.

Lockers are required at:
Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit
Revenge of the Mummy
Men in Black
The Incredible Hulk Coaster
Dueling Dragons

I think that's it. I'm sure someone else will add to the list if it needs to be added to. :)

I'll sometimes stick some crackers or fruit snacks in my bag, but never drinks. You can get free ice water at both WDW and US/IOA and we bring in the flavor powder to add in.
