Backpack/Purse on the rides?

i was wondering if you are carrying a backpack/purse in the parks to hold things like you wallet and camera can you bring these backpacks/purse on the rides? i assume the ones that don't go upside down would be ok right? what do you do with your purse, camera, or backback on the rides?

Usually you just put the between your legs/feet and squeeze tight. The do have lockers if you need one.
