My family is just 6 days out from our WDW trip. It will be my second time, the first was 20 years ago. My kids and husband are planning to ride lots of roller coaster so I scheduled a backlot tour for myself one day. I figured that would give them a whole day, towards the end of our trip, to go back to their favorite park with roller coasters. I am wondering where we will be eating lunch, I forgot to ask. I hope I am not disappointed in this tour since it is really what I am looking most forward to on our trip.

Do you mean a backstage tour? Which Park and which tour? There are a lot of them.

As I said, there are quite a few backstage tours. But it sounds like the tour you have signed up for is the Backstage Magic Tour.

According to the WDW website, lunch is at WL in the Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I took this tour about 6 years ago, so I am sure alot has changed since then , but thought it was a great tour. Sure, its all day but you are not walking the entire time. While some contents overlap with other tours, such as a tour of the utilidors, on this tour you get to see(atleast on ours) areas not available on other tours such as the huge holiday warehouse(mind boggling the amount of xmas decorations), laundry facilities(it actually is interesting), underneath the american adventure pavillion, the castmember building at epcot( a glimpse of life off stage), the large central repair and maintenance facility where rides and attractions are worked on(fascinating!), etc. Back then, for some unknown reason, the tour did not include a stop at Animal Kingdom. We also had a filling 3 course lunch at Mama Melrose at DHS. We had an excellent CM which really makes for a great day, alot of interesting info and trivia.

Now thats its been awhile, I am looking forward to taking it again! I hope you will find it as interseting as I did. You made a good choice!

I think you mean backstage magic tour. We went on it a couple of years ago and ate at whispering canyon cafe. We really enjoyed the tour and would do it again.

OP I am so jealous! I have wanted to do this tour for so long... Sadly I always talk myself out of it b/c of the price. Hope you have an amazing time! Have extra fun for me! :goodvibes

My kids enjoyed it. They were 8 and 5 at the time of our last trip.

I believe you must have been on a different tour. The Backstage Magic Tour has a minimum age of 16. Perhaps you took the Disney Family Magic Tour?? It is for all ages.

I've been on Backstage Magic twice now. It is a great tour.
Last time was in Jan......and we did eat lunch at Whispering Canyon.

congrats...our party of 8 will be there 7-8 thru 7-14! :cool1::banana::dance3:

I'd love to do that! At first I thought you meant the backlot tour at HS, and I thought, "Actually, you might be really disappointed because it's terrible," but I've heard very good things about the Backstage Magic tour. I may invest in it at some point.
