Day 10, St. Martin:
We have been here twice before and have never done an excursion. We enjoy shopping and walking around. We did just that again. I bought another bracelet at a store I have previously purchased from.
We walked on the beach close to the pier and went to Everyting Cool for a Guavaberry colada. It was very good. The beach was very nice and I would have loved to have spent time there, but my skin has had it's share of sun this trip!
Tonight was tropical night. The dining room menu was slight different from mexicali night, but some of the items were the same. We had the deck party tonight, it was fun! The characters were dressed tropical instead of Mexican.
It has been fun seeing the slight differences between the 2 cruises.

Day 11, St. Thomas:
We have also been here twice before. We did not do any organized excursions or go to St. John's. We did that last time.
We walked into town and looked for a gold chain for my DH. They aren't as willing to dicker here as they are in Cozumel and St. Martin. Since we hadn't priced them elsewhere, we didn't buy one. We walked back and did the Paradise tram after our traditional Frosty at Wendy's which is actually thicker than one's we get at home! The view is really nice from the top of the tram, but don't waste your time if it is cloudy. We each had a drink called a buschwacker, very good, but I knew I drank something when I was finished and it is fairly small!
We tried to find a phone to call home, but they were either in use, broken or all circuits were busy. We haven't had this problem before, but there were 3 large ships in port. Luckily I was able to call home from St. Martin using my credit card the previous day. The last thing we did was go to Al Cohen's across from the port and buy liquor. There were other places, but Disney does not accept deliveries to the ship.
We went to Palo tonight for dinner, awesome, as usual. We had requested Erika again. She was terrific, again!
Tonight was the DVC add-on meeting. We went to see what kind of deals they were offering. They were pretty good, but we weren't prepared to buy at this time. We are pretty set on points, you just always want more!!!!!!

Day 12, At sea:
Today was another relaxing day. We went on the galley tour which was interesting and received our cookie.
Tonight was semi-formal so I had lobster again, yum!
We saw Disney Dreams tonight. This show brings tears to your eyes! We didn't get a chance to see it last week, but have seen it before.

Day 13, Castaway Cay:
I scheduled my La Therapie facial for the last day of our cruises to repair the damage and clean out all the sunscreen. It was wonderful as always. The technician did write down an entire page of products I should buy, with a bunch of stuff I was supposed to do frequently. It was all very expensive and since I was going home to a new baby, I knew I wouldn't have the time to do any of it. I do purchase 2 items from them for my rosacea which seem to help. She wasn't pushy, especially since I was buying another bottle of the cream that I use.
We had another beautiful day on the island, but mostly walked around since I had had enough sun! We had another Konk Kooler and ate at Cookies BBQ this time. The food was good.
We went to the Farewell Variety show, which was good. Then we went to the adult talent show since one of our DIS'rs was performing. There were only 3 performers!

Day 14. Port Canaveral:
Back again. The 2 weeks went so fast, but we are glad to be going home to get our new daughter! We ate an early breakfast and headed off the ship to Downtown Disney beofre our drive home. We spent about an hour there, maybe more.
Customs was not a problem with the 2 cruises. We only listed the major purchases from both weeks. We knew we had not gone over our allowance anywhere.

Post Script:
We had a great time! We met many wonderful people on these boards and have continuing friendships with many of them. Disney people are good people!
We liked aspects of bothe the Eastern and Western, but will probably do the Eastern again next time. We like Cozumel for shoping and atmosphere, I would like to do the ruins someday. Grand Cayman doesn't have much to offer us, so we weren't dissapointed to miss it. Key West was interesting, but I have no desire to do it again soon. St Martin is great for shopping, but the people can be pushy. It has improved greatly over the first time we went there. I would eventually like to see more of the island. St. Thomas is all right, next time I will go back to St. John. I like the extra day at sea.
DCL is our favorite cruise line. We were going to try Holland America in January, but cancelled because of of our new addition. The ports weren't fit for infants.
We will be back next year some time, we just have to figure out when.

This concludes my report. I am sure I have forgotten things, but I tried to highlight the mos important parts of our trip.
If any one has any questions, please feel free to e-mail me. I don't get to the boards much lately.

I called home that day too, Denine. Earlier in the day I got the 'circuits are busy' message, then (to milk the last few minutes before having to reboard) I tried again from the phones at the port. I got the message on the first try, then retried right away and got thru. I guess you just have to keep re trying. I loved St. Thomas the most. I could go there for a week.
Glad Kaleigh got a clean bill of health. Great reports. See you on the boards.

thank you - Ive been waiting for your Eastern report as we leave for our cruise in 8days!!
Good luck w/your new daughter - enjoy your holidays

Glad everyone enjoyed the report.

Wish I could be there!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading your reports. It sounds like you really had a wonderful time.

Now I am so jealous that I couldn't have back to back cruises.

I'm going to post links to your cruise trip reports on our Adults and Solo Travelers Board. I hope you don't object.

Thanks for posting.
