Since you can't go through the drive-thru, it won't do you any good.![]()
Uh doh, I forgot about that. Told you I need stuff written down.

Where I used to work, someone would occasionally go out and pick up food for everyone. Special orders were not a problem at all. Before the person left everyone would write down what they wanted on a piece of paper. When the person ordered the food she would simply hand the paper to the person taking the order. That made it easy for everyone and there were rarely any wrong orders.
I wouldn't have a problem with any of those requests.
If you don't want people to order what they want, don't offer to bring back lunch for them.
So I suppose the food runner should just be allowed to decide what everybody eats?
"Okay I'm picking up 5 Big Macs, fries and Root Beer. Anyone who felt like having a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, hamburger, or different beverage is SOL."

Anytime we needed to do any kind of special orders, we'd call in the order rather than placing the order at the counter/drive-thru.

You got a point there. Lol! I suppose it really doesnt take up a lot of extra time requesting "no onions" or "extra pickles". You can always write it down if you dont think you'll remember.
I have never called in an order to a fast food restaurant. They are really good at taking special orders.

Omg...you sound like my Ex Husband! "why can't you just pick it off" Uh...because onions and mustard are gross and you can still taste the mustard if you scrape it off.

Funny! This thread reminds me of a former co-worker. She and I were partners, we worked together on the evening shift as dispatchers for a regional medical dispatch center. I was the dinner 'go getter' usually...at least for the first couple years because she was more experienced. She wanted her burgers plain...that is a burger and a bun and NOTHING else. There was no 'just pick it off'. If there was any hint of ketchup, mustard, pickle, etc. she would not eat it, no way no how. You'd think this wasn't such a hard request, but would not believe how often people would get it wrong.
I used to hold up the line by opening the bag and then her burger and verifying before pulling away! LOL
Getting custom orders at fast food places is a pain in the neck.
You're dead to me now

Lol....I don't mind the flavor of onions and I love onion rings...but the crunch of an onion on my burger grosses me out!! Mustard is just plain old nasty!!
