Had an awesome time!! I got some decent pictures. It's just going to take PRACTICE!!! Now I'm wishing I would have gotten a lens with IS. I have until December to make that purchase!! I think I got one decent fireworks picture..it was taken from the GF beach. It was just too crowded to do the whole tripod thing in Magic Kingdom for the fireworks. I need to go to WDW when it's not crowded. I forgot to take my polarizing filter!!! Oh well...

Can't wait for the next trip! I'm hoping the first week of December won't be crowded!

I have been back one month since our third trip. We had a reservation at narcoosees with a window seat for the fireworks. They gave us a seat by the bar.... hehehehe. So we again, asked for the window seat. They said 20 minutes to half hour wait. No problem. then the buzzer went off in 5 minutes and we had our table. 30 seconds before the fireworks start they dim the lights and everone in the resaurant gets up and walks to the outside deck where they stand in front of our window. hehehehehe

No crowds at disney? When is that?

I will post some pics when they let me...

Cool! Glad you had such a great time. Have you posted any of your pictures? I agree that the tripod thing can be a little difficult when it is crowded, especially during shows such as fireworks and parades. I have found that if you have a couple of people with you willing to help you can position your tripod just behind a railing and post your helpers at each tripod leg to fend off potential bumpers while avoiding interference from the front due to the railing. Also, mini-tripods and trash cans make a wonderful combination, especially with a remote cable release.

We will be guests in the MouseHouse next week and can hardly wait to get there. Also going in December.

"I'm too excited to sleep!"

Hi JR6ooo4,

Quick tip. You can go to the Birthday forum and post a bunch of "Happy Birthday" messages to boost up your total posts. Then you will get more privileges.

BTW, I can't seem to remember where Narcoosees is again. Where is that? The Poly?

Narcoosees is the round restaurant at the grand floridian. Right across the lake from MK, wdw.

Thanks for the b-day tip!

Mikeee, welcome to the DIS, neighbor. Stop by the Neets board to read up on the Chicago meet in June. And yes, good tip there, the birthday board will build up your post count quickly doing a bunch of happy's. :cool1:

And yes, a small tabletop tripod works breat, especially with the trashcans.

Thanks for the Meet info Dan!

In the fireworks pic is there a mickey shaped light or does it just look like one,
nice pics

It does look like those are mickey shaped lights...I noticed that too. But I'm not sure if they are actually like that. Looks like a hidden mickey to me!!
