I got back from my planning trip today. After 3 hours at the airport, a 9 hour flight and then 2 hours to get home, plus the 5 hours time difference im either suffering from jet lag or post disney depression.
Any way it was a well worthwhile trip as i managed to sort out so much for my wedding. We met with my EM at 9am on the 5th and worked through soooo much.
I worked with Laura from Disney floral, and pretty much got everything sorted, although i have yet to see the cost of that
For my bouquet i am having cream, pink and a sort of champagne coloured roses, white stephanotis and some white freesia. Im having some crystal hidden mickeys in my bouquet. My bridesmaid is having a similar bouquest to mine but a lot smaller and with out the hidden mickeys. The boutinieres are going to be one of the roses with a crystal mickey around the stem. For my reception i have kept things really simple. I am having the ivory linens and chair covers, with a gold overlay and gold sash around the chairs. My centerpieces are a small gold ice bucket that will be filled with cream, ivory and champagne flowers and then several votive candles around the table. Thats pretty much it for floral, kept it simple untill i see the cost of it all
More importantly we did a food tasting session at the boardwalk and of course sorted out the cake. We are having the small mickeys delight cake but wth the gold mickeys on instead of silver and one layer is going to be chocolate cake with rasberry mouse, another layer is marble cake with chocolate mouse and the top layer is yellow cake with tropical mouse....which i had another 4 layers they were all lovely!
We tried loads of food at the boardwalk, 4 appetizers, a salad 4 entrees and 2 sides and it was all delicious. Just need to make a decision on what to have now.
Finally feel like ive actually made some progress now and got some of the details sorted out.
Whilst at the planning session i was lucky enough to meet Rev Jack Day who was really lovely. I also managed to get to watch Illuminations from the VIP viewing area next to the UK dessert party location which was a fab view. It was on the 9th and someone was having a dessert party there thats night, couldnt help wondering if it was a dis bride.

For a custom plated menu it is basically custom and you can mix and match the menus they gave you or add something in as well. This is what we have decided:
