We just spent a magical weekend touring the resorts, spending a day at MK, and attending MVMCP. I'd be happy to answer any questions about the whole trip before I post my trip report. I know it was handy for us to know some personal info from those who had just gotten back before we left!

We leave this Friday -- what is everyone wearing during the day and what did you need to bring for the chilly weather at night? Thanks for the info

How were the crowds at MVMCP? Were the queue lines for the rides very long during it or were most people at the parades?

I leave Friday also and would like to know the answers also. The weather is saying cloudy and 70's and I am not sure what to bring?

If the temp is in the low 70s, you can get away with shorts. However, it was mid-60s for most of our trip and I was more comfortable in jeans, socks, and a lighter jacket. At night, I donned a long sleeved shirt and a sweatshirt over it. I had on light gloves and was comfortable. At the end of MVMCP, we were quite cold even with all the gear on. And our heat didn't work right in our room...I turned it up to 70 before we left for the night and 5 hours later it had only rise .8 of a degree! I shivered for the first time in Florida! Be extra cautious if you have little kids. Be prepared to bundle!

What resorts would you recommend and not recommend to visit to see the decorations. We will be there next week.

Our party was not sold out. The crowds were very easy and light! Everything was "walk-on" except PPF and Dumbo. I recommend getting there at 4PM when they begin handing out wristbands. The CMs are very efficient at weeding out the non-party guests exactly at 6PM. My advice would be to get to Frontier land and do the rides/attractions there before 6 or right at 6 because when they herd the party people ther it gets very crowded and busy. Get your picture taken right at 7 too. They had two stations available and they went fast when we got there at 7:05. Most people went to the first parade so it was very crowded around mainstreet and the castle, but the rides were fairly dead. Go to the second parade!!!!!! It was much less crowded and you could get a better spot on MS to view it in the "snow"!

Must See: Grand Floridian!!! Wow!!!! What neat displays of trees and decorations! The gingerbread house is quite a sight!!!!! They also have a band playing Christmas music on the second floor! Very festive! Be prepared to pay out the nose for gingerbread though. I bought 4 gingerbread men and 2 packs of shingles and paid $26 bucks!!!! But it is worth it because we will eat them on Christmas and remember our trip.

The Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach have some beautiful displays as well.

The Poly was disappointing. Much less there and in not so good shape as opposed to the food network special.
