We just got back from HH last night. It was a great trip! We ate, relaxed, rode bikes, relaxed, ate, relaxed, went kayaking, relaxed, ate, .... you get the picture!
We went to a champagne tasting and met two people from the "Dis." (Hi, Disneyholic and Patti.. )We also had a "Private Affair" with Chef Gordon. This is something truly special. Chef Gordon is not only a good chef but he is a very interesting person to talk to.
We went on the Dolphin excursion and also did a trip to Daufuskie Island. They are both fun.
We were in a 1-bdr that was in great shape and clean. It was located in the lodge; room 1122 to be exact. Our one tiny complaint was that we must have been near the water pump for the whole building because you would hear it when you were in the bathroom every minute or so. It didn't keep us awake, but it was always there.
If you have any questions I will be glad to answer them.

Thanks for the room report. Just one more thing-does 1122 face the woods or Cove?

Glad you had a great trip.Sounds like you had fun and found a lot to do. We spent one night there 2 years ago on our drive home and we arrived late so mostly just got to view not enjoy. Can't wait to go back for a longer stay. How was the weather? We wouldn't care about getting in the water at all but more so for walking the beach and bike riding. Did you bring your own bikes or did you rent? Did you happen to explore the island itself?

Room 1122 faces the cove. You could see the Old Oyster Factory Restaurant from our balcony. The weather was in the 60's and70's. We rented bikes. They were $15 each for length of stay. We rode all over the island and did lots of walking on the beach.
