Back from HH...some observations

Just returned from our second trip to HH...I must say that i was much more impressed this time around. I find that if you take the time to research a bit, there is actually plenty to do.....here are some observations

1) it was in the 60's while we where there, but I was amazed at the amount of people swimming in the pool...I mean they looked like they where having fun. Thats if one can do so while battling the effects of hypothermia.

2) The golf courses in the area are very nice, however you can definetly see that they are probably in much better shape in the spring.

3) you gotta love harbourtown....you know you have made it when they charge evryone money just for the right to drive down your street,

4) I love the dedicated two bedrooms....they feel much more connected.

5) quality breakfast at the cracker barrell

6) really like the food at the flying fish (i think that is the name)

well thats it....off to VWL in may, and BWV in august.

Since your observations about golf were high on your list, I'm hoping that means you played. If so, where? How were prices? Any info you can give me about golf would be great! Thanks.

Glad to hear you had such a good time at HH! You gotta love those 2 bedroom units. They sold my husband on the DVC concept when I could not. Looking forward to our visit in November!

DH and brother-in-law played on the Robert Trent Jones course in Palmetto Dunes last August. Green fees were about $60 per person. DH was so excited because this was a championship golf course. Overall, he was really disappointed in the course. The service was wonderful, but he said he has played on cheaper courses at home were just as good if not better. But there are definately plenty of golf courses there. You can call the resort and ask them to send you a list of all the courses they make reservations at with the fees. CM at the resort actually made our reservations for us and had all the info waiting when we checked in.
