Back from CSR and Loved it!

Just got back from CSR last night 12/05/06 and loved it! The resort grounds are truly amazing. We stayed in casitas room 3193 facing the lion fountain. We requested the casitas and were assigned a room in ranchos 7b and politely asked if we could be moved. This is a large resort and I can say that if we had been stuck with the room in the ranchos, we wouldn't have used the Pepper Market as much and probably wouldn't have bought refillable mugs. There was a convention going on while we were there but it didn't seem to detract from the lovely atmosphere and for the life of me I can't understand the posts I've read where people said the resort didn't feel 'Disney'. This resort screamed 'Disney' in all the little touches and details that I have come to love in Disney resorts.We loved the Pepper Market and thought the food quality was superior to other resort food courts as well as the servings being huge and the automatic tip for eating there wasn't a problem as the server always showed me to a clean table.The bus service was great and we always got a seat whether we caught the bus at the first stop (2) or picked it up after refilling our mugs at stop 4. Returning from the parks after a nightly show was no different than the 2 Disney resorts where we've previously stayed, crowded and requiring multiple busses but I had no problem with it. The only real problem we had was wishing we'd have picked this resort for our stay this past June. Buzz is pushing a great product and his web sight helped us pick CSR for our stay, Thanks Buzz!

We stayed in October 2005 and really liked it. It has the best bus service of the 3 places we've stayed (POR and WL the others) Never more then a 5 minute wait, always had a seat and seemed like less people at the end of the evening at MK waiting in the CSR line to go back home.

I have been to all the other mod resorts and CSR is our favorite by leaps and bounds. Whenever I get homesick for the CSR I just head over to Buzz's site and take it all in! (excellent source of info and unbelievable pics!) Only 4 more sleeps (and who's counting?) and I'll be there!

We were there the same time as you Harry. We got home on Dec. 6th. We stayed in Ranchos 7B. That is what I requested and got a great room facing the quiet pool. We were close to Dig Site, right above the quiet pool and very close to Bus Stop 4. I loved the location. Wasn't the tree in the lobby beautiful?

I thought the tree in the lobby was beautiful as well as all the garland spread throughout the check-in and Restaurant area. The decorations only enhanced an obviously beautiful resort.

My dd's bought me a travel journal this year for my birthday and my intentions are to keep a rather detailed account of our vacation this year....so I'm hoping if I stay true to my intentions I'll come back with a great little trip report!
