Spent 3 days at Cabana Bay last week
Pros
Love the retro look! We were upgraded to a Junior Suite in the Continental building #4 and it was super convenient.
Pools are great. Plenty of room to sit and swim.
The Garden Path to the parks and City Walk is absolutely beautiful. May take 20 minutes or so. Security at the end has no line whatsoever.
Bus transportation was also very quick.
Food was decent. We ate once at the restaurant next to Galaxy Bowling. Very good burgers. Diner had good grab and go.
Cons
Very spread out resort. Be prepared for long walks and long hallways.
My husband is disabled and I cannot stand for long periods of time. We both use ECV's. Not the friendliest resort for handicapped. The handicapped "button" to open doors did not work on at least 2 doors. We had to hunt down doors that worked.
Even though they state they have "luggage service" it is limited to storing your luggage. They do not deliver or pick up at your room. This was a big deal for us ( and yes, I should have been more specific when booking) as neither of us can drag our luggage. Finally after several tears on my part, a manager approved someone to deliver and pick up our luggage.
All in all, a very fun, affordable, and happy resort. We probably won't stay again due to handicapped situation. But would definitely recommend for young families and adults.
