Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2026 (Feb 26-Mar 2, 2026)

His response: "Of f*&@#%$& course. Lol."

That was exactly my response last year when they announced Sleeping Beauty.

Still not signing up, though.

Same here. I like the themes (except for Moana - I'm so done with that), but I can be an adult and stick with my original plan to do Springtime.

“I can be an adult..”… 🤣
Not me .. 🤣🤣
I dont like or dislike the themes but I loooove going thru the castle and feb’s weather.. so I’m in :)

I'm gonna go feed my chickens and do the adjusting to our drip irrigation in the garden before I end up with a full-blown spreadsheet of costs and potential flights for the 5k.

I may or may not have already found flights that land at 12:30am on Friday morning that I could *theoretically* hang out at the airport for 45min, and then uber directly to Epcot, do "emergency" bib pick-up, gearcheck a backpack, and not have to book at resort stay. And then fly back Friday afternoon.
This sounds a bif of a stretch in the stress side.. so maybe just do the 10k too..
🤣

Bah I wish Merida was not the 5k... Princess falls on a good weekend for me in 2026 because it's the start of my spring break that Friday night, but I can't swing traveling down on the Thursday to pick up a bib for a Friday race. It's a bridge too far. I already have a Moana and a Belle medal so I'll think hard about the half. Then maybe go to Universal Orlando for the first time to check out Epic Universe...

Okay, well, now this is snowballing. My aunt, who is NOT tech-savvy, wanted to do the 5K. Okay, sure, I'll register you. Now my sister, who has NEVER done a runDisney race, wants in! Yay! But she wants the 5K and 10K AND she's a teacher and can't be online at registration. Uh oh. Then my aunt says, if you do both, I'LL do both! My mom is considering the 5K now too.

Sooooo yeah.... I'll be trying for four or possibly five separate race registrations during the public opening. ::gulp::

I am already starting to think about what the Brooks shoe line up will look like....belle? rapunzel? merida? I just hope at least one pair is PINK. 😂
I want Merida shoes (because I already have a gorgeous pair of pink Ghosts) but they need to do normal Ghosts, not Max, for at least one pair.

You guys. He said we can talk about it tonight. And he asked what the other themes are.

Girl, get ready! 💸💸💸

Allllll that merch....
a man standing in front of a refrigerator with the words i am never going to financially recover from this

I am obviously still not planning to go, but if I did, I did already book a flight "just in case" at schedule opening

I was able to get Wed-Mon for 24.6k skymiles, the same flight is now 39k miles

Not that a "deal" should influence me :hyper:

But hey, I haven't booked hotel yet, at least, so I have that going for me

OK. Coming back to edit this now that it's not bedtime.

Basically, he said yes. (We are all so surprised, I know.) Actually, I AM surprised he said yes, and didn't try to talk me out of it at ALL since we are doing the 8 days for MW, and then going to Utah for DS2's spring break/senior trip.

However, when I was discussing the flights with him, which are by far the biggest expense...basically half the cost of the trip, he suggested looking into staying for the 10k as well and flying home Saturday?

What he actually said was that I have to by home by Sunday, because kids and work and all of that stuff.

I went the charity route for the 5k. I said I wouldn't do that again seeing as a I often have to pay out of pocket for a lot of the fundraising, but I couldn't pass this up and I didn't want the stress of registration.

Merida is my spirit animal and in 5 years of runDisney, this is my first chance at a Merida medal. I couldn't not go!

What charity did you sign up with? Just in case I'm not able to secure everyone's registrations, this would be a great option to offer them.

So exciting! My husband said, "aren't you going in January for those races?". Not sure yet if that's a no... 🤣
