First off, thank you to all the members who post on these forums, especially Tikiman, your help and advice was super valuable when I planned our trip.
Second, I have read some negative comments about the Poly, (old design, musty smells, etc.), but I must disagree. The resort looks great! Even after two hurricanes came through, the landscaping was in tip-top shape, there was no hint of the strange smells in the room that some people seem to experience, and the carpets in the halls and rooms seemed super clean.
The resort was really empty the beginning of the week, I guess alot of people decided to cancel their trips due to Ivan. The CM at the desk actually upgraded our room to a Lagoon view room in the building I requested, Tokelau, but we decided to take the room I originally wanted, 3593, because to me I would rather have a view of the grounds of the Poly then stare at the GF. Our view was incredible, it overlooked the quiet pool and the whole "quad area" that surrounds it, perfect!
If anybody has any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I'll be posting dining reviews on that forum soon. I'm hoping my new DW will let me start planning our 1st anniversary trip soon!
