Back door to WDW?

Quick question my sister is enroute to WDW right now and I know that there is a new road to get there off of the turnpike but I don't remember where it is. Does anyone know the route they would take? I think you can avoid getting on 4 by going this way. Any help will be much appreciated.

Assuming they are coming from the north, it's the FL turnpike to Route 429, exit Western Way and follow to the light, she'll be alongside CSR, turn right for the All Stars and AKL, left for other resorts.

She needs to take 429 South (Exit 267A) off of the Turnpike Mainline, then take Exit 8 (Disney World/Hartzog Rd). That will bring her directly onto Disney property next to Coronado Springs. Turn right if going to All-Stars, turn left going anywhere else.

About ten minutes doing the speed limit, maybe a mile or two over.

It's very easy, I drive it from my office which is right next to the 429 to WDW regularly. It's not well used yet, so it's often like having a private road. Watch the speed, FHP has been patrolling heavily.

You get on 429 near mile marker 22 and get off at mile marker 8, so about 14 miles.

what is the toll? is this before or after I4 exits?

The toll on TOLL 429 is $1.00 from the Turnpike to the Disney World/Hartzog Road exit.

The Turnpike/429 interchange is north of I-4. If you're coming south on the Turnpike you would get to it before you get to I-4. If you're coming from the south you'd be smarter to use Osceola Parkway or I-4 then to come all the way up to the 429.

The 429 is before I-4 as you are headed south on the Tpke. The toll is $1. Where I get on I have to pay $1.30--it's still worth it to not deal with I-4.

Not a problem. Literally I stare out the window at it all day long at work. There's a cell tower right by the entry with some Osprey that have a large aerie, and between them and watching people back down the highway after blowing past their exit, I stay fairly amused all day.
