Back Button Problem

I'm favouring the webmasters do something because I'm not having problems anywhere other than DIS

But new versions of IE might have things that don't work with it. It's not like Microsoft is going to check with every website to make sure "improvements" won't affect the website.

I think we HAVE established that it's particular to IE (version 8 & 9 at least, don't know if anyone with 7 has reported the problem).
It also sounds like it affects more than just Dis (read the reports about CruiseCritic).
So you look for the common denominator... either IE needs fixed or the webmasters at Dis & CC should get together and see what's in common.

It appears that Cruise Critic has solved the problem. I'm not having anymore problems with the back button there.

:cutie:

Yes, it's an issue with IE7 as well.

I just checked Cruise Critic and I'm no longer having back button problems there either.

Still having them here though. :(

Me too! It's so frustrating because I often forget and sit waiting for the screen wondering what happened! It's making me crazy

I mentioned upthread I was having the same issue. I had IE7 up until yesterday.

Was trying to activate a new subscription to McAfee and it made me upgrade :(

I can't believe the problem has not been fixed yet especially since the Cruise Critic forum was able to fix it :headache:

Still having the problem on IE8. Unfortunately, I do not have a choice as to which web browser I use. It is only this site I have noticed the issue with. I just double click and it eventually goes back.

Nope, nothing. Using google chrome with adblock and signatures off.

I have adblock and signatures turned off, so it isn't something in someone's signature or ad code, as was posted above.

I use IE8 and it is only happening here...not on Cruise Critic. Cruise Critic managed to address and fix the problem.

I just reported on the other thread that the problem had disappeared..... Now it's back..............maybe thread specific now??:confused3

I've been having an issue and I'm using safari. It will load a page when I hit the back button but its days old(like page 1 of the community board will all be threads from a week ago). I have to hit the refresh button and then it will load current threads. Very weird.

I agree!!

Hey, moderators!! What is up with this? Why won't the powers that be fix this problem???? :confused3

I've been the "IT guy", so I can sympathize with the problem.

It would be nice to have a statement acknowledging the problem and giving an estimated date of resolution.
