Baby Thor isn't coing today

Awww...I'm sure you are disappointed. You've just made such a comfy home for him he's just not ready to leave it yet! :) He'll be here before you know it!

I know you are disappointed! You are doing such a wonderful job of caring for him right now he just doesn't want to leave!!! It will happen soon sweetie. Hang in there!

Thanks for your kind words everyone. Since he's a male maybe he's lost and doesn't want to ask directions?;)
I spent yesterday still having contractions every 3-4 minutes but they never did do anything and now they are about every 10 min. apart. I tried to sleep but everyone (read: my mom) kept calling to see if I'd gone into labor and hadn't told anyone.
It's very hard to sleep and I'm pretty uncomfortable. I go into the Dr Monday and I'm hoping she will tell me I've changed and it's time! He's dropped so much my waddle has gotten worse so maybe that's a good sign.
Thanks again everyone and I'll let you know what is happening!

My first child was due on July 18th and didn't come until August 2nd!!! I ended up having a c-section and he was 11 pounds! So I know what you're going through... sometimes it feels like they'll never come out. ;) But he will, I promise! :)

Sonya, maybe I scared him when I told him to wait. :teeth: He doesn't want a spanking. :)

Hang in there Sonya he'll he here before you know it. He's building up to his entrance into this world. You take care of yourself and rest, keep us posted :D

Hang in there, it's worth the wait!

My second DS was due before Thanksgiving, but hadn't come by the Tuesday before. So, both sides of the family all took off work and came down for the holiday to be there for the birth. Thanksgiving came, Thanksgiving went... the family came , the family went... still no baby. Well over a week late, with induction scheduled for Wednesday morning, DW finally went into labor Monday night. Contractions stalled out at 5 minutes apart and stayed that way until the scheduled induction Wednesday morning! Finally things got going when they broke her water -- we had our boy less than 4 hours later.

We were disappointed that the family all missed it. And they couldn't take time off to come back, so virtually no one visted us in the hospital. But the minute we saw little Connor, all the disappointment disappeared. Thor's smiling face will make you forget everything else.

Sonya, I hope you get good news at the Drs. office. My Kimmi was 4 weeks over due, it's so hard to wait. Her little fingernails were grown around and into her fingers. She was so wrinkly. This we in WY where it is hard to find good OB care. I know Thor is being induced due to medical reasons and not because he's over due, but hang in there. It's so hard when you were so excited. Prayers and pd still being sent from out west. Let us know how todays Drs. appt went.

Well today's Dr appt. happened in Labor and delivery! About 10:30 last night I noticed the contrax were coming every 3-5 minutes and I waited, walked, drank water, lay down, nothing changed after 3 hours so I called and they had me go to the hosp. They said this was a good sign but nothing else was happening so it probably wasn't it. They gave me morphine (I love that stuff) saying it would either make false labor stop or if was in labor it would make my cervix open up. Of coures, I t made everything stop. So back home I go.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggg!
I go to my Dr tomorrow but have no idea what she will say. I guess I'm just going to have to wait it out and hope that the placental problems are no longer problems.

Hang in there Sonya....he is on his way!!!!

Good luck...hope he gets here sooner than later...

Sonya it will happen soon. Your baby may decide to wait until his due date.

Hoping the best for you. Sending my prayers for you and the baby.

He will NOT stay in there forever. Well, I have never heard of a baby staying inside forever !!!

My oldest DD was this way (won't tell you HOW overdue she was until AFTER Thor comes)......labor would start, we'd go to the hospital, nothing......I had HORRIBLE bronchitis (it was late January), and coughed and coughed and....broke my water. NO contractions. Waited all night on Dr.'s orders (said it couldn't have been my water or I'd have contractions). Next morning Dr. did an ultrasound- yep, it was my water, and DD was high and dry. Restarted the pitocin with a vengence (remember one word: epidural- I didn't and lived to regret it).......anyway. Within 6 hours she was out and wailing. Apparently she needed that jump start, but once she got going, boom. She's still that way. Hard to wake up, hard to get started, but then watch out- she's on a roll. She's 15 today- she'll be a licensed driver in 6 months. Don't worry, you WON'T be pregnant for ever (although in adolescence you might wish it was a viable option!).....Hang on tight to Thor- the time really flies by!
