My oldest DD was this way (won't tell you HOW overdue she was until AFTER Thor comes)......labor would start, we'd go to the hospital, nothing......I had HORRIBLE bronchitis (it was late January), and coughed and coughed and....broke my water. NO contractions. Waited all night on Dr.'s orders (said it couldn't have been my water or I'd have contractions). Next morning Dr. did an ultrasound- yep, it was my water, and DD was high and dry. Restarted the pitocin with a vengence (remember one word: epidural- I didn't and lived to regret it).......anyway. Within 6 hours she was out and wailing. Apparently she needed that jump start, but once she got going, boom. She's still that way. Hard to wake up, hard to get started, but then watch out- she's on a roll. She's 15 today- she'll be a licensed driver in 6 months. Don't worry, you WON'T be pregnant for ever (although in adolescence you might wish it was a viable option!).....Hang on tight to Thor- the time really flies by!
