I'm going through my list, and checking it twice,
Just to find a tip that wasn't precise.

(Okay...bad attempt at my poetic voice!)

Anywhoooo, I do have a tip I wrote down probably a year ago saying to take baby powder for the sand. I can't recall this though. Is the trick that if you put BP on dry feet the sand won't sick or something else? Anyone remember?

I do recall something to the effect of baby powder on wet, sandy feet will make the sand fall off. Personally, growing up going to the beach and lake a lot... it doesn't take that long for the sand to dry, then it just brushes off. I think the baby powder would be more trouble than it is worth.

You put the baby powder on the wet sand and then brush it off. It works a treat especially on delicate areas.

It works great, especially before eating when the kids hands are covered and even though they rinse some still sticks, although at CC the sand is very different. Just left York Beach, ME and had my powder with me, got the dry, stuck sand off the kids faces in an instant!

Baby powder works like magic. We take it to the beach here all the time, just sprinkle and wioe, it doesn't matter if it is wet or dry sand.

I have also used the baby powder trick many times over the years with the kids. I first discovered it with my oldest who hated having anything on his hands...baby powder saved our beach trip the summer he was two!

DD always gets sand in her swimsuit and it really irritates her "delicate areas." Then the salt water makes it burn and after less than an hour on the beach, she just wants to go in. Would baby powder help?

Thanks
Leslie

The powder will work after the fact but not to prevent it. For that, try Bodyglide. :thumbsup2

We always use the powder when we need to get the sand off in a hurry. Works great!

Oh good idea!! DH uses Bodyglide to prevent chaffing when he runs. I never thought it help DD with her sand issue. I'll have to try that at CC in November. I wish I'd thought to use it at the beach this summer.

Thanks
Leslie

I would stick a tube of Desitin in your toiletries for after the fact, too. It would soothe her chafing overnight, so she could start the new day feeling better.

My teen boys use it when they skimboard, too. It really helps. Also, a little baking soda in a warm tub after the beach helps a mulititude of problems.
