It's not my favorite. I feel like it's missing the N at the beginning. I named my kids with traditonal names so I am sure that has something to do with it.

That was my thought. She'll always have to correct people about her name which isn't fun.

Please don't take offense, but it sounds concocted and trendy to me. I prefer classic names. However, if you like it I don't think it should matter what a bunch of strangers think.

I like the name. I have not heard it before, so I can't agree with other posters that it sounds too trendy. Which, by the way, there's nothing wrong with that.

As a former teacher, my first criteria in naming my kids was that I couldn't associate their name with any kids I taught. That was tough! But when you have four Britney's in one class (all with different spelling) it gets silly. And so what if some idiot wants to put an N in front of her name? She will simply, and graciously correct them. My name is Tarra. All my life I've added the extra R for people. Has it scarred me? Ummm, No! If you like a name I don't think you should not choose it because you're afraid of what society may say. It's not an out-there, wacky, made up celebrity sounding name, for goodness sake! Some of those names could be scarring! Moxie Crimefighter to the rescue!

Attalie - very pretty, dainty, and sounds very sophisticated to me.

I'm a teacher & would feel silly calling that name out all day long...but then again, I feel silly calling out a lot of particular names all day long (Pilot??? Come on...yes, I had one named "Pilot").

Anyway...that's just my opinion.

The "Natalie" thing is so true. Plus, there's the two "t" thing, which will confuse things even more. She'll have to spell it for people the rest of her life every single time, and she'll get all kinds of weird looks, "whats?", "huhs?", etc.

She also could easily end up with the cruel nickname of "Attila", which is the first name I thought of when I saw it.

I am assuming it is pronounced attalee? But the way it's spelled seems like, well--Attaboy! That's the way to hit a home run! So I thought, attalie, like "good lie" or "way to lie." And that's not a good name. Nobody wants to be associated with lying.
