Day Two continued...
Next we went to The Harmony Barber Shop on main street to get Emmie's First Hair cut.
This barber shop is awesome!! If you have a baby that hasn't had his/her first hair cut yet - hold out for Disney!! For $14 you get the hair cut (they save snippets of hair for you) a certificate and a pair of Mickey ears with "first hair cut" embroidered on them. Amazing huh???
Emmie's new haircut & new hat.
Dexter had gotten his first haircut the year before, so I wanted to get it cut again to keep up the tradition. The really cool part was that the same cast-member cut his hair two years in a row!
This time we had them put in green gel/goo and pixie dust. So all day he had spiky green hair. (cutest thing ever)
Notice the hidden Mickey on the back of his head.
Their 'after' shot.
Next we grabbed Fast Passes for the jungle cruise and went on Pirates... So most of the time when Disney Changes a ride I'm not the happiest person (when the took the "living in the land song" off the end of the boat ride at the land and "tomorrows child" song off of Space Ship Earth Me and my brother were not pleased a all!!!

We still to this day sing out as loud as we can at the end of those two rides out of protest.)
Pirates on the other hand AWESOMES additions!!!! The coolest part of the whole thing was Davey Jones!! The whole ride also has a story line now, so that's great!
Time for Dole!!! (or at least that's what we call it) This is something that we talk about for months before we go to Disney. It's sold at Aloha Isle but make sure you ask for it by its proper name Pineapple Float or Dole Whip Soft Serve .... cause if you ask for "dole" or "dole float" they look at you like your crazy.
After we were finished with our dole we went on the Jungle Cruise, it seemed like they filled every other boat with just FP people, so the FP line went really fast. Our guide was one of the best I have ever seen! It must have been the beginning of his shift, cause I do not know how you can keep up the enthusiasm he had about the back side of water all day long.
We grabbed a FP for Peter Pan and went on Small World. Our we had awhile before our FP so we walked over to Toon Town (you'll notice a lot on our trip that we do a lot of unnecessary walking around, next time I'll be planning a little better) ToonTown was way too busy so we walked all the way back to Peter Pan and used our FP.
Everyone started to get hungry so we went to Casey's to eat. Then we went to Mickey's Philharmagic, we weren't sure how Dexter was going to react but he seemed really to like it. He normally won't keep glasses (or hats) on his head but he watched the whole show with them on and flinched when "things" came flying toward him. Emmie didn't' seem to
like it all that much, when the water squired out she started to cry.
We hiked all the way back to Toon Town and met Donald, Chip & Dale, Daisey, and Mickey Mouse. Dexter wasn't really afraid of the charters but he didn't' seem to interested. Emmie on the other had loved them!! Her favorites seemed to be Chip & Dale. They kept on tickling her and she was cracking up!!!
She's laughing... it just looks like crying.
This is the most Dexter would do for us.
We also rode, the people mover buzz light-year and I'm sure a few more that I just can't remember right now. Emmie just seemed happy about everything but not really enthused about anything. Dexter seemed to take everything in and then talk about it (in Dexter language and big gestures) later.
Shawn seemed more excited to ride on a horse... so I just stood next to Dexter to make sure he didn't fall off.
The magic kingdom has a great new baby sitting idea.
Candy anyone?
Stephanie wanted to take the same picture with Dexter and the HUGE sucker, but we had to explain to her that Dexter wouldn't give it back.
By the end of the day we ended up at Pooh's Play Ground. Dexter LOVED it!! He wasn't that great at waiting his turn but got better at it by the end of the trip.
Michael, Steph and Emmie left us to go to the front of the Castle to get a good spot for the fireworks. Dexter wanted to play more so we let him, then just before the fireworks started we headed over to the back side of the castle right by Dumbo. I have never watched them from back there before, kinda cool. The only bad thing was that you had to keep on looking from one side to the other to see the whole show.
Back to the hotel for some sleep.
OK... two more pictures from the day... I mean HOW CUTE ARE THEY???
Kisses...
