We just got back from a week long stay at BC. Not only did the Marketplace have the small four pack of Baby Cakes cupcakes, they had delicious Baby Cakes donuts and cookies!!:woohoo: Yummy and Gluten-free:cheer2:

They had the donuts and cookies while I was there a couple weeks ago and I read so many positive reviews I was looking forward to trying them. They did not live up to their reputation for me. However, some of the restaurants and BC's CL lounge had OMG chocolate chip cookies which I thought were very good. Good enough I want to try and find them online to order for home. The brownies on the other hand were just blah.

As far as I know, all of Babycakes items are vegan and free of many allergens. I wish DD12 could have OMG, but I think most of their product have egg and/or milk. I believe they also use soy in some of there products for those who are dealing with soy allergies. I think that Babycakes does a wonderful job for a vegan/dairy/egg/soy free bakery. It's nice that there Disney carries both of these companies' lines for those who couldn't enjoy a cookie or brownie otherwise. Oh, and thanks for Enjoy Life products also.

Sorry you didn't like them, but for my daughter who has celiac having donuts in the morning was a definite treat!

Also they do have a website http://www.babycakesnyc.com/ for those who have questions about their products.

Are Babycakes Vegan or just some of them?
Yes, everything made by Babycakes is vegan.

Unfortunately you're right, OMG has eggs in everything they make. The chocolate chip cookies at WDW are milk free but the brownies have milk. I've never paid attention to soy as somehow we got lucky (hey, luck is relative) and both of my kids can consume it.

I think Enjoy Life are probably the most universal of the allergy products at WDW but unfortunately there isn't much variety. At least Babycakes has variety.

IMO the donuts are their best product followed by the chocolate chip cookies. I hear the brownie bites are really good too but I haven't tried them. The cupcakes are ok but not the greatest. If you're not used to gluten free foods you probably won't like the cupcakes. Though it might be the icing that I find off putting which is more about the vegan ingredients than gluten free. My kids and DH love the icing but I find the texture a bit off if it's not really cold. I'd definitely consider ordering another birthday cake. We've ordered twice and been happy both times.

I'm also not so crazy about the cupcakes (or donuts) in general but do like the blondie bites, cookies, and especially the maple cupcakes. They are the only ones where I can handle the frosting. I am not much into frosting as it is, but I will actually occasionally eat one of DD12's maple cupcakes (even cold). We have never ordered a cake, but might now.

Last year we got DS a 6 pack of cupcakes there, then went over to Goofy's to get my DD some cupcakes... by the next day they were rolling around the hotel room floor fighting over the Babycakes cupcakes. Needless to say, I don't expect to try giving her the Goofy's ones this year.
It's great to hear they are getting more variety outside of their DTD shop. We definitely liked the donuts and cookies more than the cakes.
