Baby Blues...

I have a 6 week (almost 7 week) old.

Me too Jenn Lynn...I know we were due about the same time. I had my baby girl 7/27. I hope you are doing well! Congrats!

He hates his crib.

So does my baby girl. I had to put her in day care for the next two months while I wrap stuff up at work to be a SAHM (yippee!!) and today was the first day she slept in the crib for longer than 15 minutes. She went 50.

He is used to being in a small secure spot. A big crib is probably overwheleming. Does she have a bassinet?

Or a car seat...which is where DD sleeps the best, and where she sleeps at night, on our bedroom floor next to my side of the bed. If it works, do it!

Our baby is a fuss-bucket too. A few hours or even minutes away from baby can do wonders. You can regroup and get your wits about you. Also, our DD has reflux and that caused lots of crying. The meds did help a bit. Fussies won't last forever...the time goes quick...that's what I have to just keep reminding myself, and it seems to work. It's so hard when you are getting no sleep.

Just be there for her and make sure she talks to her doc if she is having unhealthy thoughts.

I'm so glad everyone responded that you can't spoil a newborn. That's the first thing I thought when the read the OP. Good luck to your daughter. It will get better
