Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Most of the time I can't see the pictures either - it's very frustrating:confused3 I just assumed it was something with my computer. I really love seeing the ones I can!!!

Welcome aboard! I will check on that picture thing later. Internet is down at home, and I can't do it at school. I'm glad you're enjoying it all, and we will get that fixed if at all possible. Jill changed some albums around last time she was here, so some may have been accidentally cut off.

::yes:: that'll do it. when you move a picture to a different album on photobucket, it'll disappear from your trip report unless you update the link there as well.
i'm glad to know it wasn't just me too :rotfl2:

This is the last half day of school, and I have to get some paperwork turned in. The kids get half day anyway. We're still here through tomorrow. Then there's a week break until summer school starts. I'll check in later.

Happy thoughts for end of school. :cheer2:

Have fun Sunday with your mini-Dis meet, then rest up next week before summer school starts.

Sorry everyone. We don't scroll back through after we're done, usually, so we didn't notice. We'll try to go back and fix what we can, because we want the report to be good. Like I said, internet is down at home, so we'll work on it when it is fixed.

When we finish this March trip report, we had already planned to start a new thread for the June/July one, since this one is getting too long. Hopefully, that will help the frustration situation, as everyone can just move over to that one. Again, I apologize. I had no idea it was like that, so I'm glad someone spoke up. I'm sure Jill didn't realize what would happen. Lesson learned. I definitely want everyone to enjoy the pictures!

I took my class and the class next door out for a while so that teacher could work, and now she has them so I can work. Ten more minutes and we can start singing IT'S SUMMERTIME!

I am jealous! (At least I would be if I were working :lmao: )

Happy End of year not yet Summer school time!

The good thing is that makes your trippie that much closer.

Can't wait to see more pics!

I worked on some of the pictures from the first part of the March trip last night, so if you want to, go back and check those out. It was a long process, so I didn't do many, but I'll get to some more tonight. I told Jill about it last night, and she was sorry that she had messed things up. She had no idea it would change things. Anyway, go back around page 80, I think, give or take a page or two, and you should be able to see at least a few, and I will work on more tonight.

Happy Friday to everyone!

Our countdown is now saying 35 days, 21 hours, 44 minutes!

Can't wait to see my Brookie tomorrow morning, and we're looking forward to meeting up with punkin and VandyFan on Sunday. Everyone have a happy and safe weekend.

Keep in your thoughts and prayers the family of Steven Curtis Chapman. One of his teenage sons accidentally ran over his little sister in the driveway of their home on Wednesday, and she did not make it through her injuries. This family will be grieving and dealing with this tragic accident for the rest of their lives, and the boy is just torn up, as you can imagine. Only God knows why these things happen, and He will use all events - good and bad, great and small - for our good, even though we can't see that very often.

I'm shocked. Oh my goodness...what an awful tragety. So sad. My prayers go out to them. Thank you for letting us know.

Wow, you are on summer break already? :cool1: We still have school till June 12th. :teacher: But we are beginning to wind down. :dance3: Little did I know when I was a kid that the teachers looked forward to summer break as much as we did!

My poor little Brookie is has been home since Monday. Turns out she has pneumonia! I took her to her pediatrician and they didnt discover it (mostly cause they didn't listen to me and the doc got it in his head that she had a stomach virus) and sent me home. When I called them back the next day, they kind of blew me off again so I took her to Urgent Care. Thats when we discovered the pneumonia after a chest x-ray. Today she is at least beginning to respond. I was really crazy with worry all week!

Wow I see by your ticker that your next trip is going to be here before you know it. Are you staying at the Pop? Do you have any special plans yet? Ok I am off to be nurse again!

I hope Brooke is back to normal, or at least headed that way.

Yes, it is tragic about little Maria Chapman. Her funeral will be held in about an hour and a half at CPA. I know that church is filled with grieving people right now. It's so very hard to understand, not as much for me the death itself, because we know God has her in His hands, but for the brother who now has to live with this sadness for the rest of his life. What a huge burden to be placed on a young man. And for the two sisters, who were just a little older than her (from China), and for the other two teenagers. And for the parents who watch this all unfold before them in a state of shock, I am sure. It was all just a horrible accident, and it is so incredibly sad for all of them. They've been on my mind almost non-stop since I heard the news.

Our countdown as I write says 34 days, 19 hours, 30 minutes, so that's not bad at all. I remember when I was telling punkin that when she put up her thirty day countdown calendar, and it seemed like hers went really fast from there.

Drew is out mowing, Trent and Kristi are at her mom's lakehouse, and Jill, John, and Brooklynn will be coming here soon. I've been cleaning the downstairs and getting stuff together for tonight. We're going to do a Toy Story theme in celebration of the new Toy Story Mania ride that we will hopefully be doing on the 29th of June.

I thought I'd try to get some more pictures up before I go on to other chores.

We left Hollywood Studios and headed to Epcot.

You know how I like palm trees, right?

Flower and Garden Festival topiaries.

037.jpg

Since it was St. Patrick's Day, what kind of food do you think we ate?

Mexican, naturally.

039.jpg

The lettuce was green. That was good enough for us.

The meal was good. We've eaten at Cantina de San Angel several times, and we've always liked it. You get more than enough food in one serving. I get the wet burrito because I think it tastes good...and because I can say burrito. I don't know how cool I could sound saying Plato Combinacion, and I don't want to be rude and say Combination Plate. When in their restaurant/country, I should try to speak their language, so I'll probably eat a wet burrito every time I ever eat here.

Then we rode a Mexican ride.

042.jpg

The pictures inside the ride were awful, so here's the end of the ride.

046.jpg

After that, guess what country we went to.

048.jpg

049.jpg

If you know your shopping, you know that it was Norway. Or if you just know the order of the Epcot countries, you know that it was Norway.

From the Stave Church.

After Norway came China. Since I have enough pictures from there to fill a whole post, I will save that for next time.

This time, I was much braver than I was the last time I ate there. The last time was my first time, and I was scared to death of the servers calling attention to me in any chastising way.
Or any other way, for that matter.
I do not like attention.
I really, really don't like attention in public. I turned multiple shades of red, pink, rose, magenta...whatever is related to red, and my heart pounds at the same rate a hummingbird flaps its wings.
I do not like people focused on me.
So, the first time/last time, I was so afraid of having a playful CM speak to me that I ate every bite on my plate and was absolutely miserable.
This time, I was geared up going in. I would eat what I pleased and stop. No one would make me finish my plate.
I was fifty years old, for Pete's sake! No little college waitress/aunt/cousin was going to make me eat so much food I would explode. I didn't have time for explosions. This was a short trip.
So I ate what I pleased and stopped, and no one said anything to me, and I was glad.

:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: I know what you mean, I sometimes choose another place b/c of that. They do it at Whispering Canyon Cafe also if you have never been there.

So I shouldn't run screaming 'MEMOM' when I see you sunday

Brooklynn fell asleep, and Jill made her a little tent to cover her from the sun.

021.jpg

She peeked up to see where she was.

022.jpg

Not interesting enough to wake up.

023.jpg

That is WAY too funny!!!

Mexican, naturally.

039.jpg

MAN that looks good and YES I'm hungry!!!

And that is very tradgic about little Maria I have thought a lot about the family this week also

Going to eat now.......

We love the San Angel also. We eat there every time we go. Your food looks excellent. Sure would love to be sitting there eating right now. :)

had my first and only churro at the cantina. They are not a big seller up here in Canada.

Great update! I love the pic with the grass on the roof. Something I have never seen myself or in anyone elses pics of Norway! I will have to be on the look out next time we go.....Cough*2009*Cough! And the food....yummo~ Gotta love some wet burritos! :thumbsup2
My Brookie is much much much better. Thanks for asking. :goodvibes

Great Epcot pics! I've never eaten in Mexico before in fear of a stomach ache!

Having been to the real Mexico...this really did happen to me....Epcot Mexico not so much! Its really good! ;)

After Maelstrom, Brooklynn and I headed back to the hotel for some pool time. She insisted that Beast had to go with her.

Brooklynn turned in super early and Mom and Kay left Epcot before Illuminations. We had a reason to turn in early. Magic Kingdom was opening the next morning at 6:00 am and we planned to be there!

That pool!!! I can't wait to be in Disney!!!

Neither can we! We put in the old Disney planning DVD today and watched it. Jill and I just got more excited, and Brooklynn named every ride and every character she saw as they came on. I wish they'd make a new updated planning DVD more like this one than like the new one. The new one doesn't show nearly as much 'in the parks' stuff.

We had a very nice Dis meet with Erica/VandyFan10 and Dawn/punkin413 today. We met at a local mall at the food court. Brooklynn had to ride the carousel, and then we just visited for a while. Dawn had her mom with her. Her mom probably came along for protection from these weird Disney-crazed strangers her daughter was setting out to meet. Hopefully, she found out we aren't too scary! We talked about Dawn and Ray's past trip, Erica and Dawn's upcoming trip, her mom's golfing outings, our upcoming trips, shoes to wear on trips, becoming Disney resort decorators (what a fun job!), Disney resorts, rides, and restaurants, etc., and we watched Brooklynn walk around the tables near us thinking she was Miss Independent.

We did take a picture, but Jill didn't bring the cord she needed to put it on the computer here, so we'll have to wait. Dawn's mom took one with her camera, so maybe it'll turn out okay. I took one with Erica's, but I think I got it too light. Sorry, Erica, if it's crummy. I hope you guys found the shirts you were looking for and didn't spend too much money.

it was SOOOOOOO nice to meet you guys!!! i'm so happy we could set it up. brooklynn is SUCH a cutie. and she definitely is miss independent. she was so funny as she'd walk away and look back and smile, knowing that we were all watching her! :rotfl: oh, and don't worry....my mom doesn't think my disney friends are crazy. i'm trying to get her on board. i think she'd really enjoy it, especially the golfing part. i think if ray and i ever have kids she will be the first one to join us on a trip! ;) she's soooooooooooo ready to be a grandma. her husband (my stepdad) has 2 sons who have kids, but i'm her only biological child so it's not the same.

oh, and erica and i got some super cute shirts today.....3 for $10! :thumbsup2

i will post the picture i got as soon as i get home and get them uploaded. :)

great update and pics.
