Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Have a great trip. Don't be surprised if you don't find time to post. WDW is exhausting. Maybe you two should post just little notes for each day, and then when you are home, relive your WDW and write the whole thing then. But if you find time, great! We are a waiting.

Just got word from OhMari that we are making the move from the pre-trip board to the REAL trip board. How exciting is that!?!? That means it is really here!

Baggage check - I am packed, except for the last minute stuff, and pretty much everything else is waiting downstairs in the den ready for me to walk out the door. Trent was in the process of washing, drying, and folding, but now he's gone to Kristi's grandmother's to swim for a while. He'll be up late finishing. Drew has clothes out, but his style is that he'll stuff them into something sometime tomorrow.

Vehicle check - Trent has the car he and Kristi are driving, and we're picking up the van tomorrow. Chad just called and said his boss misunderstood the weeks he wanted off, thinking it was the next two, so he's working on getting that fixed. If he can't, he and Drew may end up coming later, or Drew may just end up going with us and Chad can drive down later. I really wouldn't want him to drive all that way alone, though, so who knows what they'll decide to do. They're teenage boys, and they don't know what they're doing from one minute to the next. When and if they actually get to Disney World, then and only then will I buy their park tickets. They just got back from trips to St. Louis and Louisville last week, so they may decide to just go do something else smaller later on. Again, nobody knows.

Numbers check - I've got every ounce of paperwork that has been sent to me. Every number that's associated with the trip, I have in triplicate. I got used to making threes of everything important in my classroom so that I'd always be able to find at least one. I've also got the Disers' numbers that we are going to try to meet up with.

Knowing that I sleep very little anyway on a regular night, you can imagine what tonight will be like. I will get littler than little sleep, and I'll be wiped out by the time we leave tomorrow evening. I'll get practically nothing on the road, because I'll be running on pure Disney adrenaline. By the time we do Magic Kingdom, Whispering Canyon, back to MK, and then home to Pop Century, I will be a zombie!

When I talked to Jill yesterday, she said she started to tear up in the Disney Store as she was listening to the music, realizing she was really going to be there soon. In turn, I confessed to her that as I was fixing my hair, I looked in the mirror and saw someone staring back at me with a smile that wouldn't go away, because I was thinking the same thing. About 48 hours from right now, we'll be in the midst of the chaos of Whispering Canyon. If we get the internet fixed up that night, we'll post pictures of our evening, but if not, we'll post when we get it going. All of you will be with us in thought as we watch Wishes. We will be thinking of how all of you will be in that same magical place soon!

Have fun! Dont forget to link us to your new report on the other board!

We're here and having a fabulous time! It's not unbearably hot, so that's good. We went to EMH and Magic Kingdom this morning and whipped through every ride in Fantasyland in an hour and a half. Brooklynn had a ball, and we have about a zillion pictures of her smiling on everything. We did Animal Kingdom and MGM yesterday and closed out the night with Fantasmic. I thought as we left that Declan and family have so much to look forward to in seeing it, because it is awesome. Tonight we went to Epcot. We did baby swap for Soarin', and when the second group of us went around, they pulled us over to the side, out a side door, saying we were VIP tonight. They took us through some back passages, which was pretty cool, and led us to row one to ride, skipping any kind of wait at all. We also got pulled from Kilimanjaro Safari yesterday. We probably had a ten minute wait left, and a CM came and took us to a jeep that was ready to go. We'll send some pictures soon. It is late, but things are still hopping around Pop. People stay up until the wee hours around here and are up early going again. We look forward to sharing all of our fun with you guys. Jill met 5boyz at the pool yesterday, but by the time I was dressed and ready from afternoon changing a storm had moved in and all I saw was the back of 5boyz as she herded her crew away. We'll check in in the morning and hopefully get a couple of pictures up.

Awww thanks MeMom.:flower3:

Glad to hear you guys are having a great time. Can't wait to see the pics of Brooklynn at Disney. Congrats on your pixiedust: on the rides. Surprises like those are always nice.

So glad to hear you're having a great time! And you got some special treatment, too! Looking forward to seeing the pictures when you get back!

I am so glad you guys are having a great time. I cannot wait to hear your stories. :cool1: :cool1: :dance3:

Back in the room for a nap for Brooklynn. This morning, we went to Chef Mickey's to celebrate her birthday, even though it's not officially until August. The food was good, and the character interaction was wonderful. After that, we spent a few minutes on the gift shop and then headed for the monorail to the Polynesian. Jill, John, Brooklynn, and I rode in the front, and it really is a neat experience. All of you should try it once. The Polynesian was as pretty as ever. We took several pictures that we'll post later. It started to sprinkle as we were walking around the pool, so we headed back to Pop. Trent and Kristi are out at the pool. Drew and Sam did EMH this morning at Blizzard Beach, and then they were headed to Animal Kingdom. They are only making guest appearances on this trip, since a teenage boy's agenda is not exactly in sync with us older folks. They've met girls. Imagine that! I do know that they did pool hop night before last, by invitation of some of the girls who were staying at Port Orleans Riverside. They really liked that pool. Okay, that's it for now. Stay tunes for updates.

Yippie :yay: you made it and are having a great time...thanks so much for posting and keeping us updated!!! Can't wait to see you but live each moment! Here's to more pixie dust pixiedust: days!

Yeah, so about that posting pictures each night thing... I'd say we're getting an F in that right now. We've been getting back to the room so late, and we're beat or somebody's asleep in the way or Brooklynn needs something, etc. Since Jill's the picture person, she'll have to do it when she gets the chance.

I can tell you we had another good day. Our mission was to go to MK to try to get some autographs in Toontown without long lines and later hook up with Trent and Kristi to go to AKL to eat and Animal Kingdom to ride Kali together. When we got to the rope, we were the first ones, and Minnie personally walked us in and through her house as the family of the day. Then we got first dibs on all the autographs we could handle. Brooklynn smiled at all the characters and wasn't one bit afraid, so we were glad for that. We did a little more MK and ate at Pecos Bill's. I'm taking pictures of all the meals we're eating, by the way, so you'll see how we enjoyed stuffing ourselves later. We ate at AKL's Mara this evening, and I figured since I was in Africa, I'd get the African stew. It was good, but way too big to finish. I did get my zebra dome there, too. I'll be more detailed later, but I'll briefly say that we did ride Kali, and I was held hostage on that ride by my children and a boatload of complete strangers!

Last night, Trent met MelanieC when she came to sign the Disboard sign we have on the door. He also met 5boyz, so when I got in, he took me back out to the pool to show me where she was. I had just hobbled by them on my way to the room, but didn't know who they were. We talked with her, her husband, and some more of her family. It was good to get to meet another Diser, even though her husband told her that us Disers were a cult! I told her my sons say the same thing, but the nice meeting at the pool showed them all that we were imperfectly normal folks. We also had a note that Going Broke and MinnieDAP from WI are here at Pop. Maybe they'll all join in on our report when they get home.

Okay, that's it for tonight. We get internet for 24 hours at a time, so we take turns with it when we have it. I'll run now and let the next person have it for a while. We will get some pictures eventually, so hang in there with us.

Wow sounds great....I bet you are beat tired by the end of the day...and little Brookie is having a :cutie: great time too! :cool1: Cool Dis Meets! :thumbsup2

Hello! Thanks for checking in! So glad that you all are having such a great time!

It was good to get to meet another Diser, even though her husband told her that us Disers were a cult!
Isnt it great when you get to meet a DISer in real life! My friends think that I'm in a cult too! I think my Mother felt the same until she actually got to meet some DISers last year while in WDW. I think we saw DISers each day we were there!

Have fun! Hope you get a chance to pop in again!

Sounds like you are having a blast. :thumbsup2
I am looking forward to your TR and pics. Have fun.
I know Brooklynn is just adorable with the characters.

Oh, I can't wait for our trip.:rolleyes1

BTW, did you tell Mickey I said "Hi"? :goodvibes

Wow, I have to give you props, you are doing great with the updates... I don't know how you do it! I crash and burn when I get back to the room. But it's so nice to hear you are having such a good time. Thanks for the updates!

Wow, I'm so happy to hear you are having a great time! How wonderful to meet some other DISers! I hope to do so in October :)

Have a fabulous time and we can't wait to see pics and hear all about it!!!!

World Showcase this morning. Lunch at Tony's today and then watched the parade from the balcony. Unlike what we had read from many reviews, we thought the food was very good, and the portions were big. Resting right now and then heading to Downtown Disney.
