It has been a great week at camp - lots of singing, praying, sharing, making new friends, sports, good food, crazy games...not much sleeping, though. Tomorrow is the last day. We'll finish up with a family barbeque supper, the kids will talk about some of the things they've done, and there will be a tear-jerking slide show of all their activities set to music. Kids will leave with memories that will last a lifetime. Counselors will leave exhausted, but they will leave as new heroes to these kids. Directors and cooks (that's us old folks) will leave with backaches and headaches and everything-else-aches, but we will leave knowing a good work was done, and we'll leave knowing we will be back to do the same thing next year.
I will get my house back in order after a week of chaos and prepare to go on this fabulous trip ahead of us! Jill and John have one last day of work, for which they are grateful. Trent and Kristi have gone to Target right now to get things they need to take. Drew's friend, Chad, is the one who could end up getting the time and money to go, even though he wasn't one of the original ones who wanted to go. I just talked with his mom to finalize him going, and he's driving his dad's truck so that they will have a way to get all around Orlando to do everything they want to do. So, there will be a caravan of three. I hope we can keep up with each other going through Atlanta. When we went through there last year, it was about three o'clock in the morning and traffic was still bad.
I talked to a lady at Pop Century today to confirm our requests, and she has them down, so we'll see. Again, I don't really care where I am, as long as I am there! It would just be a little easier on my already overworked and ballooning leg after this week of camp. Everyone is more than ready for this break. If some of us act like maniacs in our trip report and pictures, please forgive us. We just get giddy when it comes to Disney World. I'm really looking forward to leaving some hellos on our doors for some Disers, and I hope we'll find notes left on our doors by Disers and non-Disers who are just sharing in the fun.
Okay, I have got to get some rest before I fall asleep with my fingers on the keys and type something crazy like kkkkklllllllllllllllllllllllllnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Have a good rest of the evening!
