However, we are keeping the family's brass monkey away from the parks until Mother Nature cooperates. A bit too much like New York weather, but we are not complaining. My last reports were filed this past summer as WDW was being lashed by the second of a trio of hurricanes.

Reports are that the weather will improve steadily, with temps near 80 by the weekend.

We did a one-night stint at Pop Century to arrive a day early and get a better airfare. The place was kind of fun, and the Food Court/Gift Shop area had a bazaar-type atmoshphere to it. The kids (age 8 & 5) loved the arcade area, but it got a bit cut-throat in there! I mean, my God, does anyone's kids just walk up to another kid while they are playing a game and start taking over? Jeez! Not bad if you need to add a day or two at low cost, but I don't know about an extended stay. The laundry room with the bar attached to it was pretty darn cool, I'll tell ya that. "Honey, I'm just going to rinse out some undies and T-shirts.....look at all the packing we've saved! See you in a couple of hours!" The football games were even on, for cryin' out loud! This has got to get into the BCV/Boardwalk suggestion box.

I remember reading your trip reports during the hurricane. Hopefully this trip will be less eventful. Enjoy your stay!

Glad you are having a good time and good weather. We also were Frances refugees. It extended our summer trip by four days (loved having the APs on the days around it that the parks were open) and forced my kids to miss their first day of the school year. We went down also for a holiday trip from Dec 5 - 10 and had the most amazing weather. As soon as we got there CM's commented that we brought the good weather. About 83 each day, and never lower than the mid-sixties as the overnight low. Didn't even need the sweatshirts. As we were checking our bags with the sky-cap to return home, a huge gust of wind roared in to usher more than 20 degree cooler weather in. Someone was looking out for us! And it was the most incredible trip -- we had never experienced WDW in its holiday finest before. Now I want to do it every year!

Enjoy your stay.
