I thought that type of grass was illegal! No wonder you are so mellow all the time.

We are very limited in Florida as to what type of grass can be grown because of the heat and drought. A lot of people xeriscape, which is essentially making a lawn with rocks and plants that can stand the heat. Yuck. I like a nice green lawn with pretty flowers.

I know....and when they recently extended the regular hours from 10pm to midnight, you know they are expecting a lot of people. I can't be surprised, it is the week before the Fourth after all.

I'm going to run the idea of going on Thursday by the family. The kids are pretty psyched about the whole 9am to midnight deal right now (on the Monday). But fortunately they are all old enough to grasp the concept of mega-crowded vs. regular crowded! We can't go Tuesday or Wednesday due to specific plans with my dad. Initially I didn't want to go towards the end of our trip, but at this point that doesn't matter.

THANK GOD!!!......DS's friend was released from the hospital last night and already back in school today! He was a bit sore and subdued, but doing alright. DS said that all the kids in his class were saying how worried they were and most of them didn't sleep much last night. That's one loved little boy! I feel like a weight has been lifted off me....I had a hard time concentrating at work today, I was so preoccupied.

Going food shopping.....back later to chat!

I'm glad he is ok and what a sweet moment with your son.

Hey girls!!

How the heck have you all been! I see some of you got trips planned and some of you are there.... Still no trips planned for me.. But... someday I'll get back.. things have been insane... back and forth to San Francisco two times in the last two months, and trying to keep on top of things. Oh.. and we got another puppy... I welcome the chaos!!

Thanks for my son's b-day wishes. Unfortunately yesterday he had to have oral surgery again. He had 4 teeth removed in Feb. 4 wisdom and 2 molars. One area keeps getting infected and they decided it was time to knock him out, open it up, and clean it. They are starting to get concerned b/c it seems to get better then the infection comes back again. He is almost done his antibiotics and starts a new one tomorrow. They even took blood while he was out and sent it to the hospital to find out what kind of bacteria they are dealing with. I have not heard the results yet.

I'm sure there's way more to it than just the one party. I've had a weird feeling about her all along. For instance, DH swears that when he was talking to the landlord prior to her moving in, the guy told him it had been rented to a single mom with twins. Well, who actually moved in was "a" mom, with not only twins but an older boy and a boyfriend! Now I don't know if that was known or if she tried to be sneaky, but either way that's a LOT of people in that little apartment!! He also had her remove her compost bin last weekend, and I just get the feeling that there is general friction between them. She may have decided that being here cramps her free-spirit style too much (although assuming she signed the same rental contract we did, the rules are clearly spelled out!). This landlord is not one to mess with, though. If you're honest and work with him, he'll treat you right. If not, well, the rental sign goes out!.....
