Today was a very frumpy day for me. Drama at work, and a general low feeling about life in general. I came home from work, all the kids were out and occupied, and even with all that free time I didn't feel like doing anything at all. When you lose interest in your hobbies, it's bad.

I worked partial days Tues and Wed. Today would be a full day of work, but she asked her mother to come instead. As I mentioned before, her Mom is pushing 80 and has to drive around 65 miles one way to get there. She must be pretty tired by the time she has to drive back, alone. All to avoid paying me for a day. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm sorry, but shouldn't that be grounds for some sort of disciplinary action?? Or does a VP get to do whatever, just because?! I'd walk right up to this person, copies of e-mails in hand, and state flatly "If you have an issue with me, man up and FACE me to discuss it." I hate a coward.

No better. Possibly a tad worse. I appreciate my paycheck, believe me, but the work atmosphere is really starting to drag me down.

I used to work in an office with a terrible atmosphere. It was bad so I understand. I'm trying not to get into a funk about my job and the fact we are still trying to dig ourselves out of a hole from when my husband was laid off. We need to figure out what we can do today to help lift our spirits.
