Wow..... I remember past conversations about this. Ya'll pay through the nose don't you. :sad2:

This is exactly how I am feeling. I just told hubby that if we are going to have a winter it better hurry up and get here. Mid January and my back door is open. :cool2:

Fuel is a killer. So many people struggling to keep warm. Not enough funds for fuel assistance. I try to keep myself up until 8pm, but I don't always make it. It's cold in my house and at least I can be warm in my bed. Thankfully I have a TV in my bedroom. Tired of being cold. We couldn't wait any longer for k-1. I really don't want to go without hot water. I was hoping to wait until our tax return, but that didn't work out. Now to figure out what to juggle to pay for it. :sad2:

Ever think of moving somewhere warmer and better on your sinuses? It sounds like the environment up there is tough on you.

The dry winters make for dry itchy skin as well. I should buy stock in moisturizers. :lmao:

Every once in a while I think of what it might be like to move. It's a very strange thought when you have lived in a small town all your life. The thought of picking up and moving somewhere where you don't know anyone and have no relatives is quite odd and almost scary. I have cousins in Florida, but I can't imagine living there. You also need $ and a job waiting for you to pick up and move. :rotfl2: You know, being far away from some of our relatives might be ok. :rotfl:

Got a call yesterday just as I left Vo-Tech at the end of the day from the school nurse. My dear daughter tried to save a volley ball from hitting the very hard gym floor. Dislocated the same knee she did 13 months ago. We spent only 5 hours in the ER before getting sent home. They had to sedate her to put the knee back in and I had fun messing with her as she came out of the anesthesa. She remembered her favorite llama, Mr. Tuxx, before she remembered me. Damn kid.

What was Mr. Tuxx doing in the ER? ;) Hope she gets better soon.

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

PaMom....I hope your daughter is doing okay today.

Poor kid, but funny story. Mr. Tuxx must be one special guy. :lmao:

:rotfl2: Someone should give this a try and let me know how it turns out.

I'm considering it, but I don't think the Weight Watchers points plus value would be very good. Now, bacon alone isn't too bad. It's the addition of the pancakes that would be trouble. And the syrup. And butter.

I cannot believe it.......We turned our AC on tonight. :scared1:

Mine hasn't totally been turned off since last Winter. I'm hoping tomorrow's cold front at least keeps it from turning on.

You are getting a cold front? It was 70 degrees outside at 5:30 this morning.

Now THAT is my kind of weather!!!!!! I miss that. Right now it's 35* and raining. C-A-R-P and I don't mean fish! :headache:

Oh well at least it's Friday. That deserves a babnana. I just registered for a scrap-booking retreat in April, and I'm looking at daypacks on-line as I look forward to hiking season. If I've got to be here, I may as well get out and do something I enjoy (hiking in TX is a whole other game!! ).

Have a good one y'all!

We're supposed to following all this rain we have right now. It's 68 here right now and not supposed to get much hotter (since there is no opening for the sun to get through.) Which makes me think I won't waste my time getting my hair straightened when I get it done today. The humidity is just going to make it go all wonky again.
