Nothing wrong with that! I'm reorganizing my desk but only so I can more easily get to my scrap booking stuff. I haven't done any at all since we got here because everything's so scattered. I need a neat work area or I can't do diddly.

Glad everyone seems to be doing well! PaMom and creativeamanda, nice to see a bit more of you two!! PaMom, congrats on the laptop!...I have a Lenovo too and love it.

Nice quiet day here. I'm amazed at the lack of traffic out there. It's usually much busier than this on a non-holiday Monday. I just went for a power-walk. We got a dusting of snow overnight, just enough to coat the roads and make it too slick to attempt to run. Plus I haven't run in like 2+ weeks now and I'm quickly losing my level of fitness in that department. The walk felt good. Can't wait for daylight savings to return in March so I can have some daylight to run in after work.....

It was the official holiday for my work so maybe that's why the traffic was less, lots of offices have their holiday the day after a Sunday holiday. Next Monday is an official holiday too but I have to work that one.

I am loving not having snow!! It snowed lightly yesterday morning for a few hours, just enough to make it festive while we opened gifts, y'know? It's gone now. Tomorrow and Wed. are supposed to be in the 40s and bring RAIN. No complaints from me.

We're in high season for electric here but I'm discovering that our monthly bill is MUCH lower here than we EVER had in our old house. Which leads me to believe that the old house was a money-sucker in that respect!

I've had my fill of that too. If I have to hear my dad's wife mutter parenting advice or insults against my grandmother under her breath one more time I'm going to punch her in the face. She acts around young children like I do around dogs. Fake nice, but obviously wants nothing to do with them.

We had a wonderful Christmas. Time with family was awesome. Other than that not much.

I've moved beyond fake-nice myself. I used to be that way but got tired of pretending to be someone other than myself. If you don't like the real me, well that's not my issue, it's yours. I'm just tired of trying to fit their mold. I don't. The end! Oh and I did manage to offend my MIL without even trying. I rest my case. Oh well.

I'm watching Pirates on Stranger Tides and that name really fits some parts. They could have cut out quite a few parts, like Jack on the beach talking to himself. It was too odd. And the whole Calypso thing was a bit of a let down. Tia Dalma was their friend then she doesn't help them win against the lover who betrayed her? She could have won that thing for them in a heart beat.

....Ah....sweetie, which movie did you watch exactly??! I remember the Jack-on-the-beach scene (when he's looking for Ponce deLeon's ship up on the cliff?), but there was no Calypso/Tia Dalma in this one and Davy Jones went down into the sea at the end of the last movie.

I dunno, I liked it. It put the focus back on Jack and Hector and, to a lesser degree, the Pearl.

I did it. Yesterday DD and I went out and got me a Lenovo laptop. I'm playing with it now at the alpaca farm while she is cleaning the alpacas.
