i finally made up my mind about the birthday money and will soon the proud owner of a nook simple touch e-reader. I'm very happy with my choice; this will get a lot of use. Plus, as a birthday gift from my dad, it's very appropriate, since he gave me my love of books and we have a history of going to barnes & noble together. :lovestruc

and then....i ordered this beauty for it: [cue choir of angels...:cloud9:]

sooo stinkin' psyched for this!!!! I will be a reading fool.

.

That's odd. I typed the response to LegoMom 'enjoy' all in caps and it posted lower case. :confused3

Hey lookie mah ticker!! Four months from today we'll be in the Magic Kingdom!!!

:banana::cool1::woohoo::yay::cheer2:

I'm trying to get up the motivation to do something today.

DH is hungover really bad - didn't come home until 4a and he informed me he thought one of the people he was with had alcohol poisoning and he was surprise the people he was with didn't know what to do. :sad2:

I told him he needed to stop spending time with people that need babysitters. We're too old for that crap.

I've enjoyed not having anywhere we need to be this weekend - it's been nice. Now I just want to sit in my chair and be online all day. I mean... I reorganized our DVDs yesterday and cleaned off my bookcase by my chair. Wasn't that enough work for a weekend?

:confused3 It's Sunday. Day of rest. Then end.

Uh....yeah. I work with some 20somethings who live like this. :eek: But they are still single and have no kids/life commitments. Hmm. If you have to worry that someone in your group may have had alcohol poisoning, it's gone way too far!!!

See first comment. :rolleyes: Of course, if I had my Nook, I'd be curled up with it somewhere. But I guess you guys will have to do, for now....:lmao::rotfl2:

I cannot believe I could have forgotten this, but I just re-discovered that I have a DVD of the old Jeremy Irons version of Spaceship Earth......so not only can I listen to my favorite narration of that ride, I can actually watch it at the same time!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: I bought this set of DVDs some years ago (not sure you can even still get them); they are basically a guy with a video camera went all over WDW and filmed just about everything. It's not the best filming (he tends to pan too quickly back and forth) but for a you-are-there fix when you really need it, it's good enough! These DVDs had been buried in my desk drawer and I don't think I'd watched them since we moved 3 years ago. I pulled them out today and when I saw the Epcot disk with SE on it, I suddenly remembered this would have been the old, GOOD version!!!!

Um yeah... we're 30+. I guess his buddies called her mommy to come pick her up and take her to the ER.

Classy.

On Friday we had a petting zoo at school as well as a Pep Rally for Thon. Just as I was returning from Vo-Tech for the Pep Rally, I see one of the resident Emu's running through the parking lot. I go into the main office and leave my stuff there as I tell the lovely secretaries I'm going to 'help' round up the Emu. I did manage to find the 2 people chasing the Emu and I helped corall it while the one gal called the Ag teacher. Poor thing urinated itself and it was bleeding from somewhere. The Ag teacher did come over and I left. What a way to end the day.

And some sad news....a coworker of mine lost her dad last night. He had a stroke within the last week and never woke up. She held his hand till the end. :angel:

I know it's not a funny situation, but in my head I see you running around with Benny Hill music playing. :rotfl2:
