I just want to say, TK and Smileybug, it's SO nice to have you both hanging around again! :goodvibes

.

I totally agree! :thumbsup2

She already knows our official theme song! Nanner Nanner Boo Boo to you too!

There is a history with that song. Along with chicken butts, clowns and monkeys. Did I miss anything ya'll? :rotfl2:

No chicken butts, clowns, or monkeys allowed on Sundays. And especially no monkeys dressed as clowns.

Then we can't be all that funny now can we.

Getting ready for an action packed weekend. The RNC is in town and I have to work all day tomorrow just in case the Mayor wants to hold a press conference on either the RNC or Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac. So 12 hours of a whole lot of nothing. Sunday I'm supposed to go to a drag queen brunch with a friend for her birthday. Now that will be a whole lot of fun!

How has your day been?

Actually, quite nice. I am soooo glad it's the weekend though. I'm currently working up the motivation to go for a walk. I need to fold some laundry first. Trying to get weekend stuff done now so we can just enjoy time with the kids. It's Nemo's last full weekend before school. :goodvibes

I totally agree! :thumbsup2

Aw, thanks!

And btw, those are some freaky photos. I refuse to repost them. Ew. :lmao:

Then we can't be all that funny now can we.

That or my memory stinks. ;)

It's not Sunday! I can post those! With our without clown facades.

Congrats to your DD Smileybug!

Hey ya'll. :goodvibes
Thank you for the well wishes for my DD. Her first week went really well. Already has had a ton of reading to do. Haven't seen to much of her. She will start wearing scrubs next week. The students will all wear the same thing. It is really a uniform. But it is fitted so she still looks like a girl. :cutie: But to be different her stethoscope is a pearlized pink with her name engraved on the bell. Its actually pretty. Her goal is to work for our #1 hospital... M.U.S.C. in their childrens hospital. (People come from all around the globe to use this hospital) But now she is starting to think about the NICU. She has 3 years in front of her to make up her mind though.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend infront of you. No matter if it is full of activities or just relaxing. I do hope you enjoy yourselves. :goodvibes

That would be great! My youngest spent 10 days in our NICU and the nurses that were in there were so special. I truly believe it was not just their medical care, but their caring attitudes that helped my DD get out so fast. But for every success like my DD, they have to deal with the heartbreak I saw all around me there. It takes a very strong person to do that job, I bet your DD would be that type of person.

Thank you for that vote of confidence. :goodvibes But that is also the one thing that I am worried about. She has such a heart for children. They are drawn to her. And she is so warm and loving. I guess as her mom I am afraid a position like that would change her. But then I think of what you said about the nurses. And that is just sooo her. :lovestruc I am thankful that you had wonderful nurses through what had to be an exceptional scary and trying time for ya'll. Nursing is one area that I feel very strongly that.... you need to "have a heart" for it. Its one occupation that can not be just about the $$

God bless her. I greatly admire nurses, having an aunt who is one, and just from my experience with the ones in the CICU when my mother passed. It takes an amazing person to be able to do that kind of a job.
