I realized yesterday that school for our guys starts in a week! Where did my summer go??! Actually, the full school schedule only starts for one; DS12 and DS15 are home schooling this year. DS10 is pretty excited to go back, I think. It's a new school so I get the trepidation bit. At least his elementary school was right next to the middle school, so his art and music teachers are the same (always nice to have a familiar, friendly face!). He got a good teacher, and knows at least one good friend will be in his class.

DH is taking the boys camping this weekend. That's a double bonus for me because now on top of a girls' meet on Sunday, I have the apt. to myself for 2 days!! There will be wine and lots of reading on my deck.

Work has been tolerable this week. The daycare bit ends this weekend so next week should be back to normal (well, in that respect, anyway...). There was rumor of the boss taking tomorrow off, which would in turn mean no work. I'd love a full paycheck, but I could also use the day off, so I'll take it however it turns out.

OH!....Mean Queen -- there's a possibility I will in FL for NINE days in November!!.....I daresay I think we can fit a Starbucks meet in there somewhere!

I swear, this has been the longest week ever.

DH has had to work some crazy long hours, and I am plain exhausted. Really looking forward to this weekend and some girl time on Sunday.

Allow me to regale you with a tale of Squirt in all his toddlerdom, as I like to call it.

We've just started, the past couple of nights, to put both kids to bed early to make the transition for Nemo going back to school on Wednesday. Luckily for me, they're super easy to do this with, and take to it pretty much right away.

The downside? I'm still on the staying up late schedule. Not so great.

Especially when at 700am, you can hear your toddler screaming at you, at full volume:

"ENOUGH! I DONE! I done nuh-nights! MAMA! I DONE!!!!!"

I felt funny jumping back in. But, I'm glad that I did.
